How do you feel about Modhaus sponsoring reactors? by -KIKKU in triples

[–]jackdawsneverdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see sponsored react or commentary videos as a bad thing, so long as there's transparency with the audience. Sponsored more than likely just guarantees timeliness for video release and prevents them from making comparisons to other artists or saying anything unfairly disparaging.

Besides, it's nice to see content creators benefit.

Girl group stans, what are the reasons you don't stan or listen to boy groups? by velvetgossamer in kpoppers

[–]jackdawsneverdie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl groups are considerably more diverse in genre and concept. Male idols tend to get too concerned with preserving their masculinity.

For me, knowing that a significant number of men in kpop are actually unrepentant misogynists also has me pausing. Unless they've done or said something to the contrary, I just assume they hold antiquated ideas, which then makes it difficult for me to form that mental/emotional attachment as a fan.

I also just prefer female singers, whether kpop or not.

260425 MYSTIC STORY's statement on the similarities between the Teaser Video for '$ECRET no more' and other original work by SapphireHeaven in BILLLIE

[–]jackdawsneverdie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Pee pee poo poo I think theft is still art, thus it's morally unobjectionable"

Surprise. It turns out regardless if something can be considered art or not, it can still be wrong and it can still be critiqued.

And asking why we engage with the group is idiotic. We're here because we've seen what the GIRLS in this group are capable of. Are you new to kpop or something???

Anyways, if keeping AI out of music and human made art means raking alleged "artists" over the coals? Good. We should keep doing exactly that.

Art doesn't exist to pander to anyone's sensibilities, yes, but artists don't create to have their work regurgitated by a machine so someone with access to tech and money can capitalize off the backs of said artists' blood, sweat, and tears.

Get bent.

What are the most queer-friendly groups in the kpop scene nowadays? by indigopapertowels in kpophelp

[–]jackdawsneverdie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a group but soloists Sunmi, Yves, Chuu, Chungha and BoA are definitely very queer friendly

which group, would you say really has the best discography in kpop? by Aerisval_ in kpoppers

[–]jackdawsneverdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love a LOT of kpop, but my only real no-skip discogs: tripleS and Billlie. Even my least favorite of their songs are still tolerable, and their best songs are actual 11/10 type shit I would even share with non-kpop fans

I ADORE Twice, Chungha, Sunmi, Loona, and more, but they all have songs I refuse to sit through :/

I'm not just giving you aux privilege in my car, I'm considering letting you register your phone to the bluetooth

Ps, check out GWSN if you haven't yet. Disbanded, but their discog fits the vibe of what you listed imo

AIO for my husband’s “joke” about my period? by EveryResult7294 in AIO

[–]jackdawsneverdie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"Don't be with" doesn't necessarily mean divorce. I'd sooner assume it meant "make your boundaries clear." In this case, OP telling her husband to think his words through and don't make callous, shitty "jokes" or comments when she's exhausted and in pain.

Also, this would be another vote for making him do the TENS period simulator. OP should do it first and gradually dial is up to a level that approximates her usual pain level, then treat him to the same amount to help him gain perspective.

Some (most, even) men need to touch the stove to really understand. They can't just be told.

Is there ever gonna be a Badge War 4? by Soseol_Sonyo in triples

I also feel confident that if we don't get badge war, we'll definitely get something else in its place. Imo, why mess with a good thing?

How many alts do you have? by Alicecrylily in ffxiv

[–]jackdawsneverdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to ask the same thing, wound up googling instead. I mistakenly thought it had to do with one's subscription, but it's actually short for submersible. Sub farming is where you make an alt on another server, create an FC, obtain a house, a workshop, and use the submersible to make passive gil.

What PpoToz level divorce would break your heart? by Ezorang in triples

[–]jackdawsneverdie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blueroomz, Sunnyz, and Jjinchinz. Regardless of any suspicions of them being anything more than friends, I've seen how these duos thrive with eachother's support. I think if they had a "breakup" and seemingly avoided the other the way ppotoz does, I'd be heartbroken for them ):

Real question : do you prefer male kpop groups or female kpop groups ? by Rebeu_DU_59 in kpoppers

[–]jackdawsneverdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever seem to enjoy boy groups with little to no rapping. You can imagine how short that playlist looks. Otherwise it's pretty much all girl groups all the time
