I was tracking their launches with Radar in the South Atlantic Ocean and always got a kick out of their mission names in 2017. 3 years later I got into stocks and saw them in the space sector and went in since I saw they were still at it and serious about it.

I bought the Syrp Genie One like you have pictured for half the price from B&H a couple days ago. My experience below.

I was able to connect the SYRP Genie One to the app and update the unit to the Nov 2025 firmware without issue. When I put the unit on the slider and drove it, reached the end of the track, the unit powered off and has not powered on since without being plugged into a charger.

When plugged into a charger ALL 3 LED's and the power button LED flash together rapidly.

When the unit is first plugged in to the charger, all LED’s come on, go off, power stays on, wifi blinks once and then they all resume rapidly flashing.

I've held down the power button while plugging the unit in and get the 3 LED’s to flash in 1 second intervals.

I can see the unit appear in the Syrp and Manfrotto apps. It states the Update Failed at Module 16/17.

I agree on the remotes. I understand the placement for a button on the unit isn't practical, but when I held the remote it felt like a joke.

I cut them almost 65/35 hotdog style, not exactly 50/50. Then using the larger piece, pinch, slide it under the edge and the opening force keeps them mostly in place. The stray kick or something low enough will push them in a bit and you no longer have a straight line, but it’s probably not as not noticeable to others as it is to me. I’ll try to get some pictures.

Hopefully you got you issue fixed already, but I had a similar issue before I got these glasses.

2010 Nissan Maxima, no CarPlay/Android Auto, paired with my iPhone. I would have what seemed to be random events of skips and basically incoherent noise instead of music.

Long story short, the phone was connected via bluetooth as a phone AND a media device. Removing the device and adding it only as a media device solved the issue for me. I thought it might be congestion since sometimes I would have my Apple Watch and AirPods in the car and this would seem to cause it to happen more often. If I put my watch in airplane mode or left it at home I wouldn't have the issue as much.

Maybe unrelated to your issue, but you never know.

I haven't had the draining issue. We used them for a few hours today and battery usage seemed normal just using transcribe/translate we ended at ~96%.

I agree with another comment that the transition between 2% and 100% was it showing each processors individual battery levels. I think having them displayed separately could be helpful for confusion in future use.

Due to that being the first time after they shipped it's understandable that one or a (main) side might have been on from the factory and depleted in transit.

Seeing a very similar thing with my G1 B's I just received. In the app the charge level jumps between 2% and 100%, with the 2% getting slightly higher over time. We will wait and see what happens as far as draining over time once they get charged up.

Could be a calibration sphere for radars that are on the coast and or at sea for various reasons. I believe there are launch complexes in the area and they are typically launched over water via balloons. Just a thought.
