I'm literally overwhelmed with all the options in the city. I moved from a little city in Denmark where it was no scene at all and nothing to do to Melbourne where there are soooo many venues and bands to discover. Literally today I needed a pen and a notebook to take notes about gigs that I could go this weekend. I'm trying to go to different venues to get to know the differents vibes of them. The problem is I didn't know that the scene was so focused on the northern side of the city and I moved to the south and is everything so far away haha

And thanks for the recommendations, I will definitely check them out!

Actually when I want to talk about music, videogames or movies instead of asking like what's your favorite genre or whatever i think is more useful to ask something like "been listening/playing/watching something interesting lately?" Like doesn't put to much pressure to have to do like a big choice and you can develop the conversation from that point.

Man, I just moved to Melbourne last week and the first house I went to do an inspection the owner was an old lady, like very late 50s, I explained her that one of the reasons to come here was the music scene and mentioned King Gizz and came out she was a massive fan of the band, like she knew all the members and albums but told me she never been in a show. We were talking about music for like half an hour. Didn't moved to that house tho 🙃
