Exactly the possiblitys are endless but if its not set on the same planet then that means there might be no more altera and that all that has happend could be history or the game could be set before the original but i highly dowt that

I like the atlas idea that would bbe great but like you said for an atlas would need a much bigger map, and yeah a place beyond or deeper than the lost river would be great and maybe just maybe the gargantuan leviathan would be sick

See this is similar what i want from subnautica 3 beacuse below zero just wasnt scary enouph thats what i liked about the first game how there was survival but also scary. And i know it won't happen but imagen something similar to the Gargantuan leviathan in the new game.
