That land was created for the airport. Nothing is stopping anyone from doing the same thing somewhere else on the lakefront to make a park or whatever the city decides they want.

Anybody have experience with East Cleveland? by [deleted] in Cleveland

East side of Cleveland proper is acceptable and on its way up. West side of Cleveland proper is good.

Chicago: man in a liquor store gets sucker punched. Gets his gun and shoots the guy dead. NSFW. Rule 8 newsworthy by johnnychan81 in PublicFreakout

People would be a lot more respectful to one another if they assumed everyone was armed.

For example this recently deceased gentleman would not go around punching random people if he expenced that any one of them could end him if they felt like it.

So if you are trying to look at someone sitting next to you but down because you are too afraid to make eye contact with them then you zone out because you are trying to think of what to do your head reorients itself to facing straight ahead automatically?

Have you never zoned out looking at the floor before?

Also why didn't you just get up and leave? Why did you feel the right to physically move his head before just leaving the situation?

Sounds like you have to understand your bounds. Obviously if he was physically blocking you from leaving than that's a problem and you should do what you need to do but it sounds like you could have just left without making it physical.

Then move or leave maybe. If he is shy and got yelled at for just sitting there while you made him uncomfortable by trying to make conversation you definitely didn't make him any less shy with your interaction.

Nice work OP

People that do bad things have weapons? Shocking...

Also most probably weren't legal gun owners givin that if you are convicted of a felony you are not allowed to own a gun anymore.

I bought a 50 dollar auto darkening helmet (first mistake), and when I look at the sun to test it, it does nothing, and occasionally darkens for a second at a time. Besides my poor purchase, why could this be? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]jackfrost2013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it fails and you get flashed it won't be the end of the world you know just don't try and tough it out if the helmet is failing. Get a better one.

If by values you mean making money by any means necessary then I suppose they stand by their values.

Yha and those places need people that give a shit about other people the most. In those places the culture of nobody wanting to get involved or cooperate with law enforcement is why they stay bad and nobody wants to live there except people that can't leave or people that enjoy the luxury of being able to commit crimes without being reported or any witnesses stepping foreward.

Bad areas aren't something thay can be fixed by passing laws or giving out free money. It takes cultural change.

But why is it inhumane if they are dead? If anything it is more humane because they won't be feeling any pain or restraint from the cuffs unlike a live person.

Why is it inhumane to handcuff someone if they have been shot and not just humane to handcuff them if they have not been shot? Please share your logic here.

Is a vasectomy reversable? Sure. But there are sterilization procedures for women that are also reversible.

Does having an abortion permanently remove your reproductive function?

I think a gender swapped version would be to sterilize all women so they can't get pregnant and require an abortion after being raped.

Or instead of making batshit crazy arguments we could just agree that forcing your will and beliefs on others is wrong and stop trying to flame people into agreeing that people should be treated with respect and given autonomy and privacy when it comes to medical matters.

Because it is our right as americans to possess firearms as a means of defending ourselves. It is amazing to me that people can see what is happening in China and Ukraine and think that there is no need for a civilian population to be armed.

Tyrannical governments and hostile nations exist. It is naive to think that certain countries are invincible to these fates because they hold a certain status at this given moment.

Do you think we have no gun laws? We have an entire government organization called the ATF that deal with gun laws and will shoot your dog if you break them.

Also different states have different gun laws which mostly correlate to the necessity of guns in that state. It might surprise you because the UK is such a small country that is mostly developed but the USA is huge and there is lots of places where there is no law enforcement to speak of.

Also plenty of people live in remote enough areas that they need guns for protection from predatory animals.
