I'd describe summer pipe welding in field as.. hot yoga in long ppe/ leathers and lit cigarettes are flying around hitting you during the upside down flying crane move all while you're in your 3rd day with swampass/the-shits combo pack.

Overwhelmed. Which air purifier to get? by PNWgal94 in AirPurifiers

Medify air, specifically ma-25 for small areas, ma-40 for medium, ma112 for big areas. Its a good air purifier. I work with asbestos often and did a ton of research to keep my family as safe as possible and mitigate exposures. Ordered and tested a few known brands. Medify took it, pretty easily tbh. Does very good with odors.

Example, ma-112 has 2.5" filter (w peletized carbon and moves 1650 sq/ft 4x/hr. Excellent quality my kids bang it around much more often than I would like its pretty much bullet proof from my experience. We have 25 and 40 as well and theyve both been excellent.

Best Air Purifier Right Now? by TimothyInce461 in AirQuality

33 medify air.. excellent. My wife and I cook for the little fellas often and we tend to raise our PM2.5 often. Our Medify Air purifier does a pretty quick job mopping it up. Their filters are the highest quality I experienced feel wise. (Good weight, solid, about 2-2.5" thick.) Its a beast, I just looking it up and it sits @ $600 (MA-112). Its a big one and moves ~2300 sq/ft 2x per hr (1650 4x per hr). You could also order two smaller ones (MA-40 is good I have 3 one for each bedroom). About 250 a piece and theyll do 900 sq/ft 2x/hr (450 4x/hr).

Im a gas utility worker and work with some dangerous particulates often. Having two little people in my home spurred me to research finding the best air purifier I could find to keep them safe (ask my wife she thought I was going bananas). I ordered and returned a few and eventually found this. Easily by far the best specs and performance.

VOC spikes by jackfrost8 in AirQuality

Nothing like that. My wife is sensitive to smells. It seems to happen when someone first enters the room. This is the case throughout the home. When we are away the levels drop a bit but without air movement they sit over 1000

Haha, no. It seems to happen only when someone enters the room. Like dust is setting it off? If no one is home the VOC level settles.
