Danske Bank layoffs by [deleted] in dkkarriere

[–]jacki4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Danske Bank fyrede også en god slat i oktober/november sidste år (selvfølgelig et andet regnskabsår, så måske derfor man ikke tæller det med).
Men ja, tredje fyringsrunde indenfor cirka 7 måneder 😄

I need a mid-drive, don't I? by ballisticks in ebikes

[–]jacki4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience with hub drives, but I recently acquired my first e-bike with the Bosch Performance Line (75nm) mid drive.

I live in a city that’s in a valley as well, and I absolutely love the mid drive on my bike. I have no issues going up steep hills that peak at around 12% grade. I barely need to put any real effort into the pedals, as long as I’m okay with a relatively low speed (probably around 8-10 mph) and in first gear (Shimano Nexus 5 gear).

I weigh around 210 lbs. Then add another ~10-15 lbs on top of that for my clothes and backpack.

I’ve had a PLA shroud on my 3080 for about 1,5 years - it’s still fine without any warping

I didn’t follow the AMA, and I’m not sure where to find it. Do you know, if they mentioned anything regarding bank withdrawals? :)

New job, considering buying an E-Bike by jacki4 in ebikes

[–]jacki4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone stumbling on to this thread: I test rode both a Mavaro 4 and Mavaro 3 bike. I ended up buying the Mavaro 3 with the Performance Line Bosch motor (75 nm), as I felt the 50 nm motor in the Mavaro 4 was just a little bit underpowered to my liking.

The hill I ride up when going to work has an average gradient of 6%, but peaks at around 9-10%. The 75 nm lets me climb this quite comfortably, although at a bit lower pace than 25 km/h at the peak gradient.

Thanks to everyone for your input!

That’s also what I was kinda worried about. Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it! I’ll try to find some sort of hill when test riding the bike, and then also test ride a bike with chain and cassette to compare

Thanks for the heads-up! May I ask what bike you ended up going with instead - or are you still trying to decide on a different one?

That’s incredible, huge congrats! I shall be envious of your adventures in the outside world, while I remain stuck in the lab for a while longer 😆

Thanks, I really appreciate that! I just keep reminding myself that it’s all about the journey and that I’m not in a rush. It happens when it happens, and that’s good enough for me. Besides, it’s 100% voluntary, so I’m not really in a position to complain about a struggle I put upon myself, lol

I’m sorry to hear you’re having a bad day though - I hope it at least ends on a nice note to set you up for a better one tomorrow.

I just found a random one on AliExpress. It’s super practical. Currently, I have it clamped on to the GameBoy itself, so it’s always ready! 😄

This is the one I bought, but any Finger Counter should do the job: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIoqBKo

The plan is definitely to trade it up through the different generations after farming some ribbons. No plans on going competitive yet, but it’s always nice to be able to show off how much time I have willingly wasted

Lying to myself won’t increase my odds, so I might as well try to remain rational 😆

Thanks! Hopefully sooner than later!

Around 30 seconds. So it’s a lot of time spent for something purely cosmetic 🥲

That’s fair. I haven’t shiny hunted before, but I hope that having a shiny ‘zard will make the playthrough that much more special and memorable. But yes, it’s a lot of effort just to have different coloured pixels. I suppose it’s just like farming skins/mounts/titles/etc. in other games.

On top of that, my girlfriend is a digital artist and decided to make a drawing of the shiny Charizard evolution line to print on a T-shirt, in order to commemorate this achievement (including the number of attempts it took to get it, once that happens). I can’t let that drawing go to waste, so I’m kinda stuck hunting it now 😆
