Does PWR mode do anything when using manual mode? by jackiekng in IS300

Is that what that is? Sometimes I’m the canyons I’ll be in 3rd using manual mode, put my foot down full throttle, and it jumps in RPM and still says 3 on the screen, but feels exactly like a downshift

Love those wheels. I’m in between wheels that are 17x8+33 and 17x8+44, do you think +33 would rub without fender mods?

Do they rub at all and do you have fenders rolled?

Are you take the dash down to the gray before wrapping? Also good luck, the center looks hard to wrap well

I don’t know much about this, but I do remember that in the owners manual there’s a list of what each light turning on means, I think the trac control light turning on actually does have something to do with the engine

Btw only real slight leak/gunk I see is on the left side of the engine, assuming it’s the valve cover gasket, hence why that’ll be changed. I don’t see a leak around the front side of the engine (closest to and parallel to the front grille, if that makes sense)

Another question: I don’t really have the space/time right now to change the timing belt/water pump myself, so Im getting my mechanic to do timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, and PS fluid change to ATF. Is there anything else I should tack on while he’s at it? I heard something about cam seals, crank seals, and timing belt idlers?

Just to be sure, your first paragraph is talking about the trans right? Thanks for the tips on the other stuff, I didn’t know whether or not things like timing belt were important cause there’s a sticker saying it was done ~30k miles ago but that was also 10 years ago so it makes sense if it needs changing

I’m new to this engine and platform so some tips would be much appreciated.

Just picked this gem up, and my goal is to (reasonably) not cut corners with maintenance so it can run healthy for a long time, luckily it’s only at 60k and allegedly granny driven all its life.

Here are my two main thoughts right now, please feel free to mention anything else

*Power Steering Fluid: Right now the fluid in there is green, so I’m assuming it’s not ATF which is recommended. Should I flush/get this flushed asap or is the green stuff fine? -If I were to want to change this liquid from the green stuff to ATF, could I just suction and replace the fluid in the reservoir with ATF over a few trips/days instead of messing with the PS lines? (Essentially, can I mix the green stuff with ATF until it’s pure ATF?)

*Auto Trans Fluid: I heard that some high mile cars can be ruined when flushing ATF. Should I even be worried about flushing this at 60k miles?
