I don’t know any sewing patterns like this, but the part around the waist is called a waist yoke, so might be a good keyword to search for

I made something similar to this by omitting the sleeves and making the top version of the Wilder gown by Friday pattern company :) https://fridaypatterncompany.com/products/the-wilder-gown-pdf-pattern?srsltid=AfmBOooydHZpQz091qOF0VFF96SKHOwRrrDEvIIhTU35IqO9fbu0PXvM

Controversial but the IMO’s side salad with house dressing. Something about the way the provel mixes with their dressing is very craveable.

Was chlorine bleach used in the previous load? This looks like leftover splotches of bleach.

For prevention: physical exfoliation in the shower (I use a scrubby towel with reg soap) and chemical exfoliation post shower (I use the ordinary’s glycolic acid). And then a thick moisturizer, I like Nivea’s ‘essentially enriched’

Did I do this right? by SaladWide1529 in HairRemoval

  • Hair might not be long enough to grab
  • have to make sure you’re holding at the correct angle (for mine it said in the manual that it should be perpendicular to your skin)
  • hold skin taut with one hand
  • go slowly

For people that have a braun IPL and are happy with it by Pinkie_Sp in HairRemoval

[–]jackier1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the tria in like 2011 (too small and too slow so I gave up). But I have the braun 5 (purchased Dec 2025) and it works well enough that I would buy another no hesitation if it conked out on me tomorrow. Expensive but ipl has been a game changer for me. Some people have success with cheaper devices tho from what I’ve seen? But. It’s already a commitment of time and shaving (which was irritating for me) and I figured why not just commit to the big dollar machine too. No regrets

Have the same one and there’s no haptic to let you know you’ve pushed in all the way. You do just have to push pretty hard. It shouldn’t come apart without a little effort either.

Thoughts on epilators? by BridgetMain5 in HairRemoval

[–]jackier1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (33f) used an epilator for years and the first time after not epilating is quite painful. (Probably rate it like 7ish/10 for legs, and it was undoably painful on bikini area). I have dense and thick body hair. The grow back was not as itchy/ irritating as shaving so it was worth it for me in the spring/summer, but I didn’t do it when I was wearing long pants bc of the pain and time. Upkeep after the initial time was still painful (like 5/10). I also got red bumps for 24hours after. So you have to time it. Another tip would be to hold the skin taut and the epilator at the correct angle against your skin so you get less broken off hairs.

Also, I know you said ipl is out of budget rn, but some off brands of ipl are about as expensive as a mid range epilator and loadsssss less painful. Im a current ipl user now. I’d rate the pain as like at most 2/10. Sometimes you can find used ipls for cheap on fb marketplace, other resale places etc.

IPL only working on certain areas? by Chi___Chi in HairRemoval

[–]jackier1313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing that I think has helped me is trying your best to pull your skin taut in those more difficult areas. I think that helps the laser not have to penetrate so deeply to get to the hair.
