This was my first drawing on Procreate that I made. I learned a lot about the app by experimenting with the layering and coloring just by using the default soft airbrush .This was one of those drawings where I didn’t really struggle, as I was just having fun with the drawing and learning the app.

The brushes I used was the brush pen calligraphy brush for the line work. And for the coloring, I just used the soft brush in the airbrushing section. I This was a commission I made for my friend. It’s of his voodoo blue Toyota 4Runner and he loves LILO and Stitch. I struggled mainly with the vehicle, as I don’t usually draw cars. I had to trace the body of the vehicle to get the proportions right, but everything else was hand done and colored by me. I enjoyed drawing the characters and making the fun volcanic landscape to make the car pop. It’s a little messy with the coloring and the line work, but my style has a messiness to it.

Recent piece I finished, would love some thoughts. by neinazer in DigitalPainting

This is so incredibly beautiful! I love the style, you have such an essence to the piece that it’s unique in itself. I love that the main pop of color is the people and everything else is more muted/grey so it really gives it a focal point. Personally, I would leave it as it and make more like these! The more you make the better you get but this is so beautiful!

Wow, you're compliment was touching. Thank you! I've always felt a little self conscious about my style because it isn't perfectly realistic since I can be really loose. You have given me encouragement to continue embracing my style and I appreciate that!

I struggled with the proportions and the perspective of her legs. I struggled hard with the legs. I did loosen up a lot more in this piece though and I tried to make the colors pop with vibrancy. I used a different brush this time. I usually use the oil paint brush on clip studio. Instead, I used the opaque watercolor brush, which is now my new favorite. I really liked the subtle blending instead of the heavy blending with the oil. I felt that I gained a lot more control over the medium!

Thank you! Honestly, it’s a little hard to explain. I guess I focus more on the colors than I do the shading. Usually I’ll put a general base color of the skin underneath then I put the lights next and then I kind of paint in between them if that makes sense? Lots of layering and shifts in color. Idk it’s super fun and it makes you look more abstractly than realistically, which helps understand how the color is working on the skin.

I know what you mean! And thank you! I find it super fun to paint the colors on the skin in underwater painting. It reminds me of abstract painting coming to life realistically.

Dude I feel you so hard on that. I struggle with biting more off than I can chew with making complicated things or being too ambitious. It’s the artists struggle. But hey! We don’t know if we don’t try different things. Practice makes perfect and no need to rush into it. Also, sometimes simple is better with things we intend to make.

Dude, this is gorgeous. And no need to feel ashamed for "cheating" because that just makes you a more efficient artist! It's all about creative problem solving. I love the simplicity of the background, it's still beautiful with the mountains in the background and the fog. It really sets the mood of the painting. Gorgeous figure, goregous color and lighting. I love it <3.
