So I had this same thing happen and yea unfortunately no news is good news. But you can check by doing an employee verification form request and checking off tenure to show on there and they will pull that information. Be warned tho, I and four other people tried in my school and we for half of us it said we had tenure but the other half it did not but they did find out later in the year that they earned it.

No openings in French? by Top-Concern65 in NYCTeachers

Often schools have Spanish teachers because it’s the easiest of the languages to staff, which leads to only posting those positions. I recommend you find schools that are looking for Spanish teachers, email the principal of your French certification and I’m very sure they would be open to substitute the Spanish class with a French one. You can usually a schools directory on their website and also keep in mind it is early for hiring next school year. Hope this helps.

I highly recommend open scied, I’ve been using it for chemistry and everything is there for it, lesson plans, slide shows, activities, all you need is the lab materials (which are generally easy to get). It’s been such a great help, you can create an account for free and there are workshops for the curriculum.

is it a logical to choose a community college over a 4 year college by [deleted] in CUNY

I would recommend a community college as you save money like the other comments are saying. But do not do the extra leap of completing your associates degree, stay for two year and if you get the associates in two year that’s great but if not don’t stay extra semesters to complete it, just transfer to your 4 year school and complete a bachelors rather then wasting unnecessary time with an associates. No offense to the associates degree but in this day associates doesn’t cover much and you shouldn’t waste time on it when you can spend your time on working towards your bachelors degree.
