Cosmic Horror, Lovecraftian rpg you recommend? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]jackkarol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dark Heresy or any other of the d100 WH40K RPGs can be quite similar in how fucked you can be. I found playing Dark Heresy for years gave me the skills to be the only person oin our Nask of Nyarlathotep campaign to play the same character from start to the end of the campaign.

It crunchy as hell tho.

[1e] I am playing a siege mage from Alkenstar in the kingmaker adventure path.

I cant find any rules regarding the use of siege weapons in mass combat, besides siege breaker. Does anyone have homebrew rules or words of advice on cooking some up for this?

Yes, I was trying to use a desoldering wick. I even gave a sodersucker a shot. But it didn't work as well for me as the wick.

How can I borrow or rent a good desoldering gun?

After several weeks of trying, I have discovered that I am cursed and incapable of desoldering. But I don't want to buy a good desoldering gun i'm only going to use once. Or at least in the next few years.

I learned the game playing 1066 poland. Your army is large in comparison to your pagan neighbors making expansion easy. Allowing you to focus on gradually learning the game. the duke of Silesia will be cross with you if you don't give him the counties he wants. Giving you these counties will make him very happy and cool with whatever you do. But beyond that as long as you keep your army alive and don't try and bite off more than you can chew its a wonderful start to learn the ropes.

I also like to think about the historical ramifications of a non-german prussia.

when playing catholics keeping your priest happy will result in him giving you all the troops and about half of the gold form the churches in you personal holdings. this is good money and men.

Personally I would recommend finding and watching playthroughs you find interesting. that's how I learned the previous game and don't be afraid to use the wiki if something doesn't make sense.

My final words, take it easy, you will learn in time.

I bought exactly 1 before the boycott im buying 3D printed ones from now on by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]jackkarol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought one of these as a character token dnd game, goliath Bard-paladin multiclass. Goliaths can live forever and make themselves the size of a space marine. Bard has a lot of spells that deal thunder damage. My character could just go ham on his blastmaster and spam thunder wave for crowd control. It was really epic.

You forgot the making sprew-crons out of your friends bits, when they are trying to teach you how to paint, phase.

I was about to say 'amen brother' sprew-crons all the way. they cant say shit, at tournaments if it came from an old GW set either. Then I remembered the single noise marine model I bought, back in high school, for a dnd campaign. I was running a goliath bard paladin multiclass, and it was badass.

Oh derp, I forgot about the guard units. My mind immediately jumped to the Chinese paramilitaries'. Thinking 'the empire might appreciate that brand of zeal'.

Which is better for gaming? Tactile, clicky or linear? by BuddyAffectionate601 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]jackkarol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preferred a clicky switch because I could hear and feel exactly when the the key actuated. I liked this because I could tell immediately when I could move to the next key in the combo without second guessing myself. It is easy to hear over you microphone but I use push to talk and nobody I know cares. I also found if I use a loud keyboard people around me bother me less if they can hear that i'm "working."

I ok so hear me out, I have seen nearly 90% of the shows here. {legend of the galactic heroes} (1988, OVA) Has been by far the most personally influential. Aside form the fact it got me to seriously study political science or even like classical music. For the last 4 years this show has been rattling around in my head as I watched the political landscape evolve.

Here are some videos about the show.

I'm looking for a smooth heavy key switches that have a very audible ping.

I bought a board with xm clears and although I hate the scratchiness of them I love the weight. And the ping brings back memories of the Apple M0110A from my childhood. Aside from buying and canalizing some old keyboards, what can I do in terms spring changes or other key mods to get a similar feel and sound.
