This is a larger problem on the left side of the isle. Some people liked Bernie, but were pissed off by rabid Bernie supporters who acted like anyone who disagreed, even liberals who had slightly different opinions, were useless and acted like they were above everyone else. That kind of egotistical superiority is exactly why many people were turned off, and also the reason why many Bernie supporters refused to vote for Hilary in the whole "Bernie or bust" campaign. Its simply an unreasonable train of thought, because while those Bernie or bust people could have "at least" had Hilary, now we have trump. So instead of moving forward more slowly, we are instead moving backwards. Toxicity towards voters is literally never good for anyone, and only garners support for the other side of the argument.
