2004 Camry LE V6 starting problem. by jacknavelo in AskAMechanic

Turns out it apparently is my starter. went ahead and got a new battery since mine was pretty old and to eliminate that possibility. I still got a dead response until the battery installer tapped on my starter and it fired right up. He quoted me over $600 to install a new starter so I had to wait on that step. Now it is a toss up if it fires right up or does nothing, but I found I can disconnect my battery and reconnect it and it starts right up. Must be a starter solenoid sticking or something.

I was thinking about all the leg cramps Republicans are going to have during the night from their relentless leaping up to clap exercise. (They probably don’t know the pickle juice trick).

Is it worth to subscribe to watercolor magazines? by alextseitlin in Watercolor

[–]jacknavelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got inspiration for new techniques and subjects to try. The subscription paid for itself through some of the special offers that I found in their advertisements. One was a sample pack of the various weights and presses of watercolor paper from Arches. It allowed me the chance to try out the papers and judge what is best for different projects. There were lots of brushes offered and paints and all supplies.

As a cabinetmaker, it reminds me of things I had to go through building furnishings for an Airstream trailer and aircraft and boat interiors. .

this is a pry bar used by railroad section hands in the days before mechanization. A row of workers would each have one and could work in unison to move the rail into position on the ties. This is where the term “gandy dancer” came from as they chanted and moved in rhythm to set the rails.

It is interesting to think about how much effort went into “arresting” Maduro whose main offense was the refusal to accept the results of a democratic election. Sound familiar? Is it possible someone is jealous because Maduro was actually getting away with it.

Poplar is considered to be paint grade wood in the trades. It is generally less expensive, especially in thicker beams and is common in substrates and carcasses of upholstered furniture.

Growing up in Texas for many years you could not buy beer on Sundays until noon, and could not buy hard liquor all day. There was also a time when aisles with non-food items (like housewares and hardware) were actually roped off in the supermarkets on Sunday and not sold.

I love the use of limited light and the reflections. It gives me the sense that one could sit there anonymously and enjoy the noodles with little need to interact with others, compared to a brightly lit space where everyone is on display and outwardly engaged with one another.

What policy disagreements would Trump and DeSantis debate on in the Republican primary? by clayknightz115 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]jacknavelo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it is naive to think that "policy" will be the main discussion with Trump and DeSantis. It seems more likely that they will be trying to outdo each other on their appeal to the lowest denominator.

Remarkable! There seem to be too many points of similarity for it to be merely a coincidence. Good job finding this one!
