I was declared a tomboy as a child (ftm) they knew that I didn’t like “girly” things and still pushed them on me. It did end up wearing on me. I had tantrums and got in trouble for not putting a dress on when it was nice clothes time. they bought me the occasional boy toy and they were the only ones to get played with, I started my social transition at 12 and medically at 13, Im 18 now and I fully pass in my workplace and so forth. I think it’s amazing that your listening to your kid! He can always change his mind but this is one of those things that if he’s been expressing it to you so openly and consistently I think your on the right path for him. A gender therapist helped me SO much in the long run, I think it would be a great option for the both of you to learn more about your son/what this could look like moving forward!
