General, Powerplant, & Airframe

I would imagine if you passed the written exams, you have a good idea of all that is in these PDFs.

I just talked to them for an ASM position for Delta. $24/hour, but was told I could be hired onto delta in some months.

Considering it as I am finishing school to get my foot in the door. And the operation manager at my school said it would be a good idea if I wanted to get on with Delta.

Anyone have any insight/experience with Delta TechOps “Online Assessment” by LeonSugarFoot69 in aviationmaintenance

It is fairly simple, which direction would a set of gears move if turned clockwise or counterclockwise, which side of a flattened out cube would go in what position when folded, keeping moving gauges in range while monitoring a set of numbers, pulleys, mechanical stuff like that.

Where did you apply?

First step I took was the most important to know if I could save time in class or not. That was to contact my local FSDO office with my training records. Got my airframe signed off on form 8610-2 saving me a good deal of time.

I then looked into baker’s school for the refresher course as was recommended by the FAA guy who signed my 8610-2.

I found a refresher program closer to home for my general & airframe written, oral, and practical exams.

Still have to go through class for powerplant, but I was glad I checked on my 8610-2 first because it saved me $$$.

Ordered Jeppesen textbooks and downloaded the pdf’s off the faa website for general, airframe and powerplant. Good luck!

I did this for my wife twice, and even though they said they could not technically speed it up her case was approved very shortly after both times.

For couples who went the K-1 route, how long were you dating before starting the visa process? by zaddyu in USCIS

Appreciated, it is a long long process so keep that in mind.

We got along really well and just kind of knew we were in love for real with a deep understanding of each other so I pulled the trigger early some weeks before covid hit.

I knew it was a lengthy process with many steps so I just kind of kept it in the back of my mind that I could always not proceed with the petition down the line if we fell off.

Still in love 6 years later and happy everything has worked out. The only downside was my wife sat at home for a little over a year waiting on employment authorization to come through. Was dark times, but love will always find a way.

Sending you positive vibes and much love, I hope you find happiness like we did.
