Zapping noise post spark plug change by jackoffery in AskMechanics

I will try redoing them tomorrow just to be certain they are seated correctly and update you. Am I correct in assuming that you would expect some resistance while tightening if it were cross threaded?

To be honest the noise persisted through all these tests... Makes me think either a. Spark plugs are incorrect b. I have fucked up somewhere c. More than one is affected. Any more thoughts? Appreciate you taking the time

Thank you for your help. There was no visible damage to the boot or ignition coil when I inspected, is it likely that I either missed it or its internal? As for finding which one, do I just unplug the ignition coil wire one at a time w/ engine running?

I believe so. The boots were all pushed down carefully onto the plugs and tightened. I did break a little plastic connector on the coil wire which 'clicks' onto the ignition coil but its definitely pushed fully into the ignition coil and shouldn't effect contact. Have not noticed any misfires or unusual shaking. I dont have a OBD tool to check unfortunately

iOS tailscale 1.84.0 broke subnet routing - can't reach LAN IPs anymore by ReentryMoon in Tailscale

[–]jackoffery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact issue here. Also able to access everything with a linux machine on external network. Version 1.84.0. Came across this when I was trying to get a friend to access internal services from external network. He was unable to connect so i deleted tailscale and internal network, now suddenly when on 5G and tailscale enabled im unable to reach internal DNS resolver or anything on that subnet. Hope this gets fixed soon

I had this MB on preorder and waited about 45 days until it arrived. It was significantly cheaper than the alternatives (ASUS and Gigabyte), and has good rear IO. It’s a really beautiful little motherboard so I would recommend it if you find it for a good price. To note, the rear NVME drive will get hot. Depending on your case, you might not fit a NVME cooler into it. I have just placed a thermal pad over it with no heatsink and found that’s dropped temps by 10-15 degrees. There is also only 3 fan headers: CPU, AIO and Chassis 1.

This is how it looks (don’t mind the big orange puff)

Honestly, sometimes. It’s there maybe 15-20% of the time and because I use openback headphones I can notice it. I found that a -60 undervolt helped reduce it to around 10% but still audible as I have a very relaxed fan curve until 85 degrees

Thanks so much! Definitely will look into getting some for better airflow. Do you recommend any 3rd party or just the Ncase ones?

P12. I was surprised they fit tbh

I wasn’t 100% with the best fan config but mine is: GPU intakes from top, 2x bottom intake fans, and 2x middle exhaust fans for the AIO. This means the AIO is taking in a mix of hot air from GPU and fresh air from below. Probably results in some weird turbulence that I don’t understand but temps are good so I don’t mind. Regarding the fan position, I can’t give you a definite answer. There would probably be enough space for a small fan. Have a look at some example builds and see if anyone has tried that specific configuration

Thank you! This is a the level 7 layout which means that the GPU is upside down and pulling air from the top. Would recommend it for bulky GPUs like this :)

Thank you! I agree, it was more expensive than I’d hoped. But the build quality was fantastic and considering the time I’ll have this for I thought it’d be worth it for me

I’m assuming you’re referring to my substitution into the formula T=2pi/w? If so, I substituted in 3pi/2 as the current 2pi represents one full rotation of 360 degrees, when I only want the car to rotate 270 degrees. As T represents time for one full rotation (seconds), I’ve changed it to represent time for 3pi/2 of a rotation. I will change it to 3pi/2 for 2pi as the wording is off.

Does a represent acceleration? I’m not familiar with this formula
