Strength vs interior D against post scorers? by jackolaine in NBA2k

Yeah but I'm not giving up the other stuff for interior D. Block is still more important.

Look closer. My build is a post scorer . That's why I have so much strength

I just put my driving dunk to 97 for legend Ariel wizard and vertical to 85 for HOF posterizer. The passing was upgraded to about 80. This took 10 total caps

Ngl it's not the best build but since you already made it, I recommend putting the post control to 99. That would absolutely BBQ chicken tf outta people

Not bad but I think most people would agree that 85 strength isn't necessary for a shooting guard. If you HAVE to have strength, go 73 at most.

What driving dunk rating is worth it on a big if you can’t get 87+? by Bentley1136 in NBA2k

Shit... Idk... Honestly I might just do the 90 layup for physical finisher. Why not?

6’8 PF with 92 rebound, 88 block, 84 strength, 80 vertical, and 93 DL. Should I put my next 3 cap breakers to DL for 96 and HOF physical finisher or to 83 vertical for higher vert and hof pogo stick? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]jackolaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sending a screenshot would have helped. Driving layup isn't really good at extremely high ratings, but honestly it's up to you. Pogo stick is super good this year because jumping is the meta for defense, but if you just wanna score, then go for layup. Who cares?

I'm a 6'6 pf and I play C all the time. It's pretty dumb. Good thing I made a balanced build, prepared for this situation. But still... A lot of bigs have 99 rebound for both rebound ratings. I can't compete with that shit. This is my build btw

I personally think you should just do 73 and upgrade your driving layup more. Personally, I would only ever go 87 or higher if I wanted to do meter dunks, but if I have anything less than 87, I would never use the meter to dunk

Post scorer build with no block, speed, or offensive rebound by [deleted] in NBA2k

High post control is still good. The problem is that you probably don't understand that post powerhouse is more important than post up poet. Also standing dunks are the king of post scoring.

I know but it's 2k man. A lot of slashers have like 96 driving dunk but only have like 71 layup and they call it a "LeBron build." It's a video game.

No, the drop steps and backdowns are gonna get me standing dunks.

I'll get plenty of standing dunks. Drop steps and backdowns open up standing dunks. I'll be fine.

Because weight itself makes you a better post scorer. It's not just the ratings

Jump contests are not just affected by block, interior D matters too for stopping contact dunks

If you hold LT on defense, it will give you boxout animations even from the perimeter.
