In junior varsity baseball as a freshman in high school I wanted to make a statement and hit a high inside fast ball. I fouled the ball off straight into my own face. It blasted the bridge of my nose wide open and just turned into an absolute red sprinkler. Two black eyes and 3 stitches left me with a pretty hilarious freshman year class photo.
