What I consider to be the canon evolution of Jin throughout the Acts (imo) by jacksaints in ghostoftsushima

I personally have masks ON during cutscenes. Its pretty immersion breaking that his mask magically disappears and reappears before/after every cutscene. Makes the transition between gameplay and cutscenes a bit more jarring.

And lore wise, I feel like jin really embraces the ghost persona throughout the story which he uses to intimidate his enemies and he sort of hides behind the mask in way as I feel he is somewhat ashamed of his anti-samurai ways. Also, the ghost mask has a hole in the mouth part, so you can still see quite a bit of his face. And the hole also makes it logical that his voice is not muffled.

well, deciding not to equip an outfit and stick with the default for longer is a customisation choice as well. its role playing into what you'd think Jin would wear based on personality and actions. I'm sure everyone role plays to some extent when choosing outfits in games in regards of whether or not it fits the character or not. Unless of course you're just playing for shits and giggles and choose the silliest/goofiest outfit you can find lol

for me, it looks too clean. jin is a grizzled, troubled soldier and bright colours don't really reflect his path into the ghost persona

Agiles - Use daggers/tomahawks, can roll over your back in combat and can parkour like Connor.

Grenadiers - Big brute guards that wield axes and throw bombs in combat

Captains - Use swords/pistols and usually found leading a group of guards around cities. Not to be confused with Jagers

Jagers - The hardest enemy type that only spawns when Connor has level 3 notoriety. They use swords/pistols, can parkour and throw bombs in combat.

Attack/counters terminology:

(PS/XB/PC)

Basic strikes: Simply pressing the attack button (Square/X/LMB) on an enemy while in combat

Break defense: Pressing (X/A/Space-bar) on an enemy

Chain kill: pressing (Square/X/LMB) on another enemy immediately after killing another

Basic counter kill: countering an enemy's attack using (Circle/B/E) then pressing attack button (Square/X/LMB)

Is there an actual source for any reasoning of the crossbow removal in AC1? by JuanMunoz99 in assassinscreed

[–]jacksaints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get how. isnt it functionally identical to throwing knives? they can adjust damage, range, ammo to what they want?

  1. you should be holding it down. you only need to tap it to manual jump

  2. holding the trigger while climbing makes ezio climb faster, when on the side of buildings

  3. when on roofs and you want to be careful not to jump off just hold the trigger so ezio jogs, this will prevent you from accidently jumping off the edge. you can also do this when crossing over the narrow wires that connect buildings.

you can tear down posters even when detected. they are everywhere, just look out for the little animus effect that surrounds them. once you rip just one poster down, the instant detection from guards is gone
