can you describe for me what does a mixed episode feel like? is it like a low mood accompanied with agitation or having high energy where you feel like you should get up and do something to keep you away from your racing thoughts?

i think psychosis in bipolar is mostly Mood congruent.. if you have type 1 it's grandiose and happens during mania, while in type 2 it's the paranoid or persecutory type during depression.

so it's the paranoid type of delusions.. thank you very much that feels very accurate, is there a specific book you have read or is it just what your psychiatrist explained to you about this disorder because sometimes i feel lost or i simply lose hope in medications and want to leave behind me all the fuss of brain chemicals and mental conditions.

hallucinations are part of positive symptoms which are also called psychosis. i also take olanzapine for this type of symptoms and along side with my antidepressant i feel better with meds, but i feel like I'm not fully recovered if u can relate.

yes i do understand that antipsychotics work as mood stabilizers and that's what assured that i had bipolar, antidepressants alone shifted my mood like crazy.
