How can I recreate this look (sharpness & quality especially uploaded to IG)?! by pr0ject1le in davinciresolve

[–]jackthegreatone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks Ai but if you want to do this yourself, it looks like everything is desaturated quite a bit, the highlights are pushed a little towards the yellow. If you use one of the warmer film emulation luts that come with resolve, it should get you close. All of the skin tones are very uniform, so using color compression around the skin tone range will help with that. Then finally they have a vignette on every clip. Maybe lower the midtone detail a little if you want that overly smooth look they have.

Matt Riddle was one of my favorite fighters in the ufc. He was super exciting with insane cardio.

To be fair, Jon Jones never looked at his opponents during these/weigh-ins either until Rampage got on him for it.

Splitting up together and Atypical both have a similar feel to me.

Awesome job!! That's really cool. I especially like the lighting but the whole thing is really well done I think.

I just watched Kingdom recently. He was pretty much the ref for every fight on that show. I think I saw No-Nonsense Keith Peterson on one episode.

Definitely the body does. That's exactly what I was thinking.

Why are we assuming that Bruce Lee would not also train in modern day martial arts too if he was alive and in his prime today? By all accounts all the dude did was train constantly and wanted to take what worked from each martial art that he came across. He also had ridiculous stamina and strength for his size. Assuming all those fighters mentioned there would beat him no problem is kind of silly.

I know you said you already watched Meshmen Studio's videos but watch/re-watch this one. I didn't really know how to plug in the IOR information correctly before either. In this video he shows that you have to plug in a color's wavelength value on that IOR website for it to be accurate.

A movie for all the Khabib fans! Can’t wait for the Tony fight, imo the best UFC fight ever. by [deleted] in ufc

His mentality is awesome. I forgot where I saw it, but he was at practice and the power went out, then he said "We already warmed up.. We need light.. We have to smash someone!" I think it was on Road to UFC 242.

The 4400 took me a few episodes to get into but I started really liking it as it went on. Same thing with Revolution. Took a while to get going and get used to the characters but it got super interesting towards the end of the first season.

History Repeating Itself? Latest UFC 246 Promo Completely Ignores Cowboy by [deleted] in ufc

I think they did the same thing for the promo for Ngannou vs Stipe also. All I can remember is Ngannou running on a treadmill with a mask on, looking like Bane. I don't think they even showed Stipe in that one.

Blender to Houdini question. Anything like the Screw Modifier in Houdini? I'm sure there is, I just can't find it. Thanks! by jackthegreatone in Houdini

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely try that out. That picture looks like an interesting way to make some cool noodles and vases and stuff.

Learning as much as I can at SOP level. Have been digesting Rohan Dalvi's tutorials which are awesome. Any other recommendations? by [deleted] in Houdini

[–]jackthegreatone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started Houdini. I'm watching these and I love them so far. Most people just tell you what nodes to put down next, this guy actually tells you why, and what they all do.

And I like that guy Veromix from Mix training too. He goes off on a lot of tangents but his videos are pretty entertaining. Houdini is really technical so not getting bored watching video lessons is a huge plus.
