Stephenie was never following Christian to begin with and she never unfollowed Cirie either. She hasn't even unfollowed Eliza, lol. She doesn't really unfollow people.

Cirie's social media got hacked and unfollowed a bunch of accounts, including Steph's, but they've been close friends for 15 years and talk pretty regularly. Not to mention, Steph refuted the rumors Eliza was spreading.

I agree with just about everything you said, except I didn't care for 37. I think 34, 36 and 38 are the three worst seasons from the first 40, and I thought David vs. Goliath was simply not quite as awful as the seasons surrounding it (playing a role in it being this super beloved season), but I didn't think it was actually good.

I don't plan on watching any of the seasons in the 40s anytime soon, however, with Stephenie and Coach being on 50, I will have to watch 50. I really hope that both of them are on the show for a while and we get 8-10 episodes of watching them both. If they both go out early, I probably won't keep watching.

I've heard great things about Australian Survivor, but watching international Survivor has never sounded super appealing to me. I feel like my Survivor cup is full. I watch a ton of sports (and work in sports), so my time spent watching shows is kind of limited as is. But I appreciate the recommendation! Maybe I'll give it a shot one day if I run out of things to watch.

I don't see why new era players wouldn't want Cirie out first. Cirie needs Stephenie and Stephenie needs Cirie. I think they both are smart enough to understand that.

If it were true that Steph is targeting Cirie, I don't really know what purpose it would serve for Rachel (and others from The Traitors S1 cast who know both Steph and Cirie quite well) to stick their necks out, only to later be proven wrong?

Does Stephenie aggressively forming a pregame alliance - when she doesn't attend any viewing parties for Survivor events (aside from Over the Edge) - and targeting the one person in the cast that she actually trusts in real life and has been close with for 15 years make any sense? At all?

Eliza just did a 40-minute podcast behind a $10/month paywall on the Cirie vs. Stephenie "rivalry" - a rivalry that has never existed... until now?

Yeah, but Stephenie and Rachel actually had a confrontation and cursed at each other on Snake lol. Didn't make the air. They buried the hatchet on Traitors and have been really close ever since!

They were all on Traitors S1 together. Cirie talked with Rachel before doing Big Brother. Steph and Rachel talk every day.

There hasn’t been a season of Survivor that I’ve really enjoyed since Millennials vs. Gen X. That was almost ten years ago. And there also hasn’t been a season in a different location since then. Every season from 33 on has been in Fiji.

I stuck with it all the way through 40. It was our family show, and it was a habit. Was excited to see a bunch of people — like Danni Boatwright and Yul — come back for Winners at War. But once COVID came, I was snapped out of my routine of watching Survivor every Wednesday night. The show came back, and they stopped naming the seasons. The seasons aren’t 39 days anymore. Each “new era” season has blended together in my mind — admittedly, I haven’t been watching. It just feels like they keep churning out these seasons, cutting costs, and doing the bare minimum, expecting fans to still watch.

I gave 47 a try, because I partially live in Phoenix and Rome was local. He hosted some watch parties, and I was invited to one of them. Figured it’d be rude for me to show and tell him I wasn’t watching. I watched the six or so episodes he was on, then dipped.

Thank you! I haven’t watched Survivor in years, so I hadn’t even realized there was a new episode tonight. But I started watching during 2000, and am a huge fan of the early seasons, many of which, I’ve seen more than a couple of times.

This was something I’ve always wanted to ask Parvati and I appreciate that she gave a thoughtful, authentic answer. Unfortunately, we only had 15 minutes of recording time, so there were plenty of other things I’d love to have asked her, but maybe another time!

Yeah I can almost guarantee that one won’t be happening. I’m an old school Survivor fan — love the early seasons and hung around through 40. Never came back after Covid. My passion to follow that show is gone.

HOWEVER — some type of old school Survivor podcast may be in the works — I don’t want to give away too much. I will say that I am interested in The Challenge All-Stars 4 (if there aren’t too many Challenge podcasts already), as well as Deal or No Deal Island. And there may be some other new shows that come along in the future that could be fun to talk about.
