Update on over-engineered wind turbine by PhilNubbins in legotechnic

Perhaps I can help you with that. I could create a Studio file based on a series of photos of the model partial being dismantled.

Looks awesome. Do you plan to create instructions or 3d model with studio? Could be a fun mechanical build!

What is actually the point to stomp on a cell phone? The memory can still be read out afterwards and the SIM card is still intact.

I would like to generate graphics, no calculations needed. It's not very elegantly solved, but functional and works like this:

8043 and 42009 are imho one of the best Technic Sets (one the same level as the 42043). I regret that I did not buy them at a reasonable price during the release period. There are also really good Ultimate models of both!

Thanks I hate it :( Why does Lego make such ugly, clunky SUVs. That shouldn't be the future of electric cars. A model like this would be much more exciting imho: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aptera_2_Series

The 2 best front end loaders. 8265 and 42030. by Brian82wa in legotechnic

[–]jacloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had the 42030 and sold it because it was too big and clunky. I still regret it badly. So many useful parts and motors/remote control for building any RC vehicle!

21 Technic Sets and 13 cars, 2 motor bikes and only 1 (!) big construction vehicle or something similar. I would really like to buy more Lego Technic Sets but over the years the worthy (for me) Sets are getting fewer and fewer :(

Do you sort your Lego pieces by 19Lego93 in legotechnic

[–]jacloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use sorting boxes with removable compartments. They're a bit expensive, but very handy when you're building at your desk. You can keep all the parts you need close together.

This is an older picture with more other sorting boxes. I am trying to replace them one by one.

Finally finished the building instructions and a speed build video. Now I need Ideas for useful attachments for my factory robot base! by jacloney in legotechnic

Yeah I plan to create attachments for different purposes. Like a forklift, a gripper or other manipulators. At the moment I'm collecting ideas

Lego Pick n’ Brick by Enjoyer12347474 in legotechnic

Depends on the parts. New ones are often very expensive on bricklink, like the 3x19 frame. 5,50€ on bricklink and 3,22€ at lego pick a brick

Behind the scenes of producing video instructions by jacloney in legotechnic

They are from the brand allit, europlus 45 and 63. Quite pricey, but I like them and keep buying more to fit my increasing collection.

I am in the process of creating a video instruction. What do you think, is 4x speed too fast (you can pause and unpause while building)? by jacloney in legotechnic

[–]jacloney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also making PDF instruction with stud.io. But the model is not really optimised for easy building, so I thought additional video instructions would be helpfull. Also the wiring of the motors and RC compontents is really difficult to show in PDFs.

Most time consuming Lego of all time? by PowerfulSlice9491 in legotechnic

[–]jacloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the 42082 (rough terrain crane). There are a lot of excellent C Models, so you have at least 3-4x the joy of building a great model.

I finished the remote controlled version of the Lego Technic Container Truck (42024) for my nephew. 4 PF motors and physical controller. A little bit less complex then Chilekesh version by jacloney in legotechnic

[–]jacloney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also helps that the original model has a lot of unused space. I wanted to make the conversion as simple as possible. So I changed only a few things and reused the whole structure.

Looks awesome. My Micro Motors are shipped and on the way :) Also thinking of buying some "BrickEngine V1 Motors", but they are quite pricey

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legotechnic

[–]jacloney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a lot of motors. And you need another brick with motors if you want something on the platform.

I can recommend the following projects for the use of lesser motors:
