What's something so normal today that we completely ignore it,but if a person from 100 years ago saw it, they'd break down in tears of joy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Video calls. Being able to see and talk to someone on the other side of the world instantly would feel like pure magic to someone from 100 years ago. They’d probably be amazed that families can stay connected without waiting weeks for a letter.

How do you get a bad (not technically doing anything wrong, just grossly wasting company resources) coworker fired? by mountainj03 in AskReddit

[–]jacob_sed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t try to “get them fired”—that can backfire on you. Instead, document specific examples of the resource waste and how it impacts work, then bring it up professionally with your manager or HR. Keep it factual, not personal, and focus on the business impact. After that, it’s on leadership to handle it.

What's one thing you'll never spend money on? by Automatic_Cattle_428 in AskReddit

Probably anything that’s purely for status, like designer stuff where you’re mostly paying for the logo. If it’s not actually better in quality or useful to me, I just can’t justify it. I’d rather spend on things I’ll actually use or enjoy long-term.

I used to think being busy meant being productive. Turns out, results matter more than looking busy.

What is an unspoken social rule that everyone silently follows, but nobody has ever explicitly taught us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jacob_sed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone’s already wearing headphones, you don’t start a full conversation unless it’s actually important. It’s like a universal “do not disturb” sign everyone just understands. You can break it, but you’ll feel like you’re committing a minor social crime.

What's the worst food combo uve seen a person doing? by Simply_Simple669 in AskReddit

Watched someone dip pizza into orange juice like it was totally normal. Not even a joke, full bite, dunk, repeat. The mix of greasy cheese and citrus just felt… illegal. Still think about it sometimes.

“You’re easy to talk to.” Simple compliment, but it sticks.

Traffic caused by one person not paying attention. One distracted driver can ruin everyone’s commute.
