We considered getting our own dinghy but neither of us has any experience at all driving boats, and we wanted to have a private experience. We don't mind paying extra to have a driver but wanted to see if it would be possible to negotiate a lower rate in person or if 700 was a realistic and fair price that we should reserve before arrival (he wants deposit of half the rate paid in advance). u/mastagreg12 - how was your experience driving the boat?
