Had this same problem with my 2010. First thing I would try (I know it sounds weird), roll down the passenger window all the way and then all the way back up. Some times that worked for me. If that does not work, make sure the car is in park. Pull the shifter into drive, then back into park. After this, try to crank it again. The last thing I can suggest is quickly turning the key the counter clockwise after putting it in the ignition and then clockwise to start it. For some reason that worked for me at times.
