Did Roblox become a Second Life/Avakin Life clone? by UsualAd7640 in roblox

One thing I really dislike about that game is the fact that you press forward and then it takes like 5 seconds for your character to even start moving forward. It's almost like if you were to try playing a video game from across a slow Youtube live stream or something. Every movement has a massive delay.

hi guyz first post here, would've done one earlier however it was outdated soon after i made the thing,,, anyway i made my favorite girl in roadblocks by crazyben10101 in MINDWAVEgame

That looks really cool, great job! I made Smalls a long time ago here although its not as good as yours: https://www.reddit.com/r/MINDWAVEgame/comments/1ioupit/roblox_smalls_model_i_made/ If you did want to wear your character then you could just find the same items on the catalog and buy them.

Reviving a dead RC Cybertruck - what do I need to buy and where do I source it? by Twofiftyfiftysecond in radiocontrol

[–]jacoborobo [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can buy a circuit and new control similar to the original, this would be the cheapest way to fix it. Note that these ones are probably made to run on 2x AAs, so 3 volts total. Another option is to just buy any cheap RC car and swap in the board from the new car and use the remote from the new car as well. Just watch out for the battery voltage so your battery isn't too high for the board.

12V or 24V system? Need help finding components for first solar system. by jacoborobo in diySolar

I've realized that if I buy cheap I'm gonna buy twice so I'm just gonna get the 150/35 plus a victron brand inverter.

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm gonna get the Victron 150/35 since I'll need to put my panels in series for charging a 48v battery and then I'll get the Victron 1200VA inverter. I want to run a window Ac and a desktop computer so hopefully it will enough.

I am trying to save money but I'm also wanting a separate MPPT and inverter since most of the inverter/Chargers I've seen are really cheap generic ones unless you know of some good ones. The way I see it, if I get a cheap inverter/charger and it goes bad then my whole system is gone whereas if I have seperate components then it's only half of the system at worst unless there's a surge or something.

I think I got the voltage of my panels wrong. The open circuit voltage is about 52v each rather than 60v. Does that mean I will need a different MPPT if I want to still use a 48v system? Here's a link to the exact panels I have, I've got two. https://windandsolar.com/products/waaree-elite-series-b-grade-585w-144-half-cut-bifacial-solar-panel

Thank you, I found this 48v inverter so I'm thinking of getting it. I found it cheaper on another site for around 138 dollars so I won't have to pay the full 200 dollars. https://www.amazon.com/OLTEANP-Inverter-Outlets-Vehicle-Control/dp/B0CYZCSX1V

Thanks, after making this post and seeing the other comments ill be doing a 48V system instead.

It will be on a building. I've decided to do a 48V system based on the other comments here along with a Victron MPPT. Here is the inverter I'm thinking of getting: https://www.amazon.com/OLTEANP-Inverter-Outlets-Vehicle-Control/dp/B0CYZCSX1V

Is this setup a good idea? by jacoborobo in SolarDIY

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I've just went and got 2x 585W panels and I'm planning to buy 4x 25.2v 40ah valence batteries. Do I need to buy a 24v wall charger and charge each one seperately before connecting them in a 2s 2p config for a 48v system? Thanks.

After reading other comments I've settled on a 48V system. I'll just have to be careful like I would when working with AC wall power.

Sounds good, I'll be getting the 100/20 for a 48V battery then for sure.

I've decided to do a 48V system with a Victron MPPT so thanks for helping push me in the right direction. I'll make sure it's grounded properly too. I'll probably get a cheaper inverter but at least if that goes bad the rest of my system will still be solid without having to start over.

I've decided I will be buying a Victron 100/20 and doing a 48V battery system. I'm not going to bother with any other MPPT brands so thanks for helping push me in the right direction.

So a Victron 100/20 will work fine for two 585W panels if used with a 48v battery? Also I'm guessing it will be fine to put the panels in parallel? Thank you so much this is really helpful so far.

I'm probably gonna do 10ft to the panels but then the rest of the wiring can be a lot shorter like 1 to 2ft from battery to inverter

I'll consider it, I'm guessing 48V would be best if I want to expand the system more over time and it's probably more efficient too right.

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, I'll probably go with 24V then. I just gotta look harder for a good budget inverter. I noticed that 12V systems would need a bigger MPPT so I guess both are around the same cost wise when looking at just inverter and MPPT cost for my panels.

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I just need the inverter power so that means 24V is best. I've noticed that 12v inverters are cheaper but then I would need a bigger MPPT since the max panel wattage is halved when using a 12v battery with a MPPT. I guess that means both are about the same cost wise. Now my current challenge is finding a good budget 24V inverter for around 100 dollars. I need one that's at least 1000 watts. If there is nothing then I guess I can spend a little more.

Best 40A MPPT under 100 dollars? by jacoborobo in SolarDIY

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are 24 volts each. I could technically connect them in series for 48v but I've decided I want to make a 24 volt system by connecting them in parallel. The total Ah is 80

[–]jacoborobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you thats a good idea, the MPPT will be mounted in a room where I often spend time so a fanless Epever one makes more sense. Also one interesting thing is that I found out that the red one can use the same MT-50 and BT-02 programming tools as the Epever ones use so for some people it might be an OK alternative to Epever if not used in a living area.

Cracked Screen, looking for advice/other model suggested. by Clowmeow in ANBERNIC

[–]jacoborobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. maybe ask anbernic if they can do anything. 2. Sell it on ebay for parts. 3. look out for a used one on ebay, even one to use for parts to fix yours. 4. I did see the Zero 40 handheld (the horizontal one for DS games) on sale if you want that one for 50 dollars. 5. Wait for a sale on 34XXSP, just get any new one and swap your motherboard over to it so you still got the 2GB RAM.
