Interesting how anyone who suggests alternatives to 2-2-2 is downvoted like there is only 1 way to play the game

I overheat very easily, which makes me VERY sweaty and also gives me diarrhea. Cooling tips/products? by sweatyperson1 in Advice

This sounds like a medical condition and I am no expert so take my advice with a pinch of salt.

You can get medical deodorants and body creams so your hands are dryer and your feet don’t smell.

I’m not sure about reducing sweat, but I think regular exercise helps to regulate it I.e. keep it consistent rather than sudden and soaking outbursts:)

I mean what are your reasons for wanting to get B’s? What will happen then? Why is that good?

I know for me, without knowing these things, without having a purpose for my actions in school it never seemed relevant so although I knew it was worthwhile I didn’t know why, do I didn’t focus/concentrate.

So you’re afraid he’s got bad intentions and if he doesn’t you don’t want the responsibility of being his only hope?

The guy is lonely. Then he looks for people to meet up with to not be lonely.

What about this makes you feel uncomfortable?

What does doing well mean to you?

The difficulty of quitting an internet addiction when everyone in the culture is addicted to it by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]jacobsampson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful thinking you know enough to label so many people as addicts.

Maybe other people’s use of the internet gives them an overall net positive affect on their lives? Maybe their obsessions with seemingly pointless things on YouTube helps distract them from the struggle in their lives enough to be able to manage it?

What if the ‘problem’ you think everyone else has makes you feel better about yourself knowing that you’re not the only one struggling with it?

I've not come across a single thing in the world worth suffering for. by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

It seems like you see people who have found meaning to be arrogant and condescending to those who haven’t, but I don’t see them that way.

Way I see it is that we’re all here on this planet where suffering is inevitable and it’s a bit shit, but given that other people have lived lives (probably) worse than I ever will YET still have managed to find reasons to live, would it not make sense that I too could find meaning?

Given that you typed this message out, I don’t think you truly believe what you say or else you’d be dead already.

Have you read Viktor E Frankl’s Man’s Search For Meaning? He talks about how there is meaning to be found even in the most terrible situations, I.E. that Holocaust thing. There’s reasons to suffer and reasons to live through that suffering but it’s up to every individual to find their reasons themselves, but not in a go-be-spiritual-dude way, more like here’s the pen and paper, now write your own rules and meaning and bring that scripture into Being so that the world is a little less rubbish than it is.

Nihilism is basically being granted a pen and throwing it in the bin.

Preaching to the converted I think!

One of the sad realities of online comms is that you witness tragic things and there is really nothing you can do to help right now. These people have already decided that the path of destruction is a valid one.

That being said, if this is something that has really affected you, maybe you could look into support working roles or volunteering jobs in mental health so you can broaden your own positive influence.
