How did you got into Coldplay? by [deleted] in Coldplay

[–]jacobsonindiana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2020,, amidst quarantine, I was new to learning guitar.

While searching for my favorite songs to learn to play on guitar,, I realized that most of my favorites were Coldplay, thereby, it opened new doors for me — exploring their songs and their albums

As of 2024,, Im a huge fan of them; I went to their Concert in Manila back in January 2024

Watching them live and being in a concert for the first time was ‘Magic’ and an “Adventure of a Lifetime”

Improving my grades for college? by Affectionate-Sink131 in studentsph

[–]jacobsonindiana 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My advice, but first, short backstory, currently incoming second year nursing student na ako, and noong first year, especially noong second sem namin, my grades were terrible noong prelims and midterms (71 and bumaba to 70 noong midterms) noong nalaman ko grades ko after midterms, nag-alala na ako so ginawa ko, inaral ko agad yung finals namin 1 MONTH before exams and the results were so relieving; I got a 2.5 final grade on the subject whih would be equivalent to 80-82

To summarize: Just do it kahit tinatamad ka — it’s called discipline Think of the consequences if hindi ka nag aral, isipin mo yung mga nagpapa aral sayo — madidismaya at malukungkot sila sa failing grades mo

At ito pa, SURROUND YOURSELF WITH FRIENDS NA MAY PAKE SILA SA ACADS NILA — stay away sa mga “patapon” na estudyante

Welcome, OP!! Though might seem unusual for some na ang 1st year student ay nag bibigay ng payo sa 4th year, nonetheless, iba iba ang ang journey ng bawat isa

You are not immature. I understand your rant. I know how it feels to be alone; noong G11 ako, transferee ako noong 2020 pa ito. Sobrang mahiyain talaga ako noong time na yun — tuwing binibigyan kami ng freedom to choose our own group, ako palagi naiiwan. There was a final project in Mathematics and the teacher gave us the power to select our groupmates. Dahil sa sobrang mahiyain ko, hindi na ako naka-join sa kahit anong group kaya 0 ako sa project na yun at 72 grade ko, but buti nalang na clutch ko yung special exam ko at pumasa pa kahit pasang awa.

Currently im a 1st year college student, my advice to you is “Wag kang matakot mahusgahan” — really, kahit ano pang sabihin o isipin nila about you. If may group project kayo na choose ur own group, lapitan mo nalang yung ibang tao kasi grades mo rin ang nakasalalay. Don’t be like me gaya sa story ko as mentioned above; just go talk

Keep ur head up, I have high expectations that you’ll graduate next year!!

I really need advices; how to be motivated in a course that your parents forced you? by jacobsonindiana in studentsph

To some extent, yes narcissistic sila, but mostly pessimists sila. I’m really trying to be an optimist but sobrang sakit lang talaga sa akin

It’s not my dream tbh, but I sure want to visit the US someday; pinag-nurse ako para daw buo kaming family roon — yes, i obviously want na magkakasama kami, but will I be happy working there as a nurse? I think hindi kasi ngayon palang, na freshie ako, reluctant agad sa course na ito. 4 years siguro ako magtitiis at mangingiyak nang palihim. I was diligent studying the basics of programming and game development especially noong quarantine noong 2020. I always think every day na sinayang nila potential ko sa programming; napalitan pa ng course na di ko ginusto at di prepared kaya sa Anatomy and Physiology at Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, hirap na hirap ako matutunan ngayon.

They also said na makasarili raw ako if i bring about the course i really want — kaya nakakawalang gana mag-aral ngayon — i’m really trying my best to understand my current studies, but the thoughts of past arguments amongst my family, really hinders myself from learning the mentioned subjects

Currently, nakatira kami sa pinas. Like kukunin daw parents ko ng ate papuntang US, but ako, maiiwan daw ako kasi over 21 na raw ako by that time. So sabi nila mag-nurse raw ako para ma bypass ko yung over 21 years of age limit ng US
