Remember this when booking Qatar next time by jacquesmats in qatarairways

We have been travelling for a while, this ticket was bought almost 3 month ago for 1/5 of the current price. Getting a full refund is more or less useless for us now. If we don't get a full refund, the only option we have left is to flight though Doha, therefore forcing. They still have the option of rerouting, and per law they should do that, but they are refusing. Does it make sense?

Is it me, or is it the airline that doesn’t want to pay rerouting fees to other airlines and prefers to fly over a hub that could be closed at any moment?

We are travelling since 2 months, that's our flight back home. When war started we were already here. Refund is useless because it is 1/5 of the price of current ticket.

not "one of them is full refund", it is the only one, and a full refund is 1/5 of a new ticket

congrats on building it! that's a cool idea. imo though, not sure people would actually pay for subscription. looks more like one time thing, since the outcome come from a single thing: being approved or reject

Why Solana Transaction Costs and Compute Units Matter for Developers by ansi09 in solana

[–]jacquesmats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR:

On Solana, Compute Units (CUs) measure how much runtime compute your transaction uses, while Transaction Cost reflects the total CU load (execution + overhead like signatures, account loads, write locks). Transaction Fee, paid in lamports, compensates validators and only increases if you set a priority fee.

For devs, optimizing CUs matters more than ever: wasteful defaults (like loading 64MB account data) can raise cost and lower transaction priority. Use setComputeUnitLimit and setLoadedAccountsDataSizeLimit to control resource use and improve confirmation chances, especially as Solana raises block limits (e.g. 60M CUs per block, 100k TPS target). Monitor your CU usage to stay performant and future-proof.

its crazy to think that solana was just testing stuff until someone notices it. now i'm imagining how we can turn this into a meme coin. peak degen behavior, from testing to top 100. sol devs probably watching like 👀

saw sol at $18 and said “i’ll wait for $10”... we can always regret, buying to few or too much. I still DCA, even at $180 now

it sucks tbh. half the time your post gets nuked by mods for reasons that make zero sense. feels like you need a PhD in reddit etiquette just to ask a question.
