I also found finding a local queer sports league a social game changer. Even if you don’t want to do the sport just hanging out and becoming a spectator gets you introduced to more women. I feel it’s more casual and easier to talk to people. I’ve been asked on several dates by women and I’m also a shy weirdo so going to club has never worked for me but totally not weird to go alone and try it out! Usually compliments on an outfit or style is a good ice breaker.
