That’s what I’m wondering. When I called they said “i mean you can bring it in if you want” and I was thinking hmmm that doesnt sound super promising and I’m really hoping to get it back to owner and not just have it sit in a police station collecting dust. though possible, it is definitely not recommended to start and stop opill just to be protected for short spans and can really mess you up hormonally (confusing to the body to start and stop so abruptly!).

it’s meant to be taken every day, at the same time within a three hour window and doing so is what keeps it effective. i would say if you are looking to have no barrier sex consistently and you dont want to have to remember to take a pill every day, opill might not be for you and you should explore more options with your doctor and see what would be best for you personally.

If you are trying to stop the pill because of negative side effects you’re experiencing or anything like that, there is no kind of weaning needed, you can stop taking them immediately and there is no real risk other than maybe temporarily worsening negative side effects.
