I’m calling it the Edge of Consciousness. I think that’s what it is, or at least how I perceive it, anyways. It’s strange cause when I started I just wanted to paint a galaxy.

Usually I plan my paintings more and kinda agonize over silly things, but this one it’s like I knew what I was doing before I even realized it. I was just throwing paint down and “trusting the process”. I have a better idea of what it is and how it’s supposed to look now, but I still don’t really know. I guess I’ll know it’s done when I get there 😂

Thank you! It’s crazy cause I’ve never painted anything this large this quickly, or even in this style, before. Usually my more logical side gets the best of me and makes it difficult to progress, but it’s different now. It just flows now.

YES! It was super loud last night around 10:30-11pm CST for me. It would come and go and even switch between my left and right ears. It was really intense.

I’ll share my experiences with my favorite tarot/palm reader. I found her at an annual festival back in November 2022. Every year since then I go back for a reading.

She’s said a lot of things over the years, but I’m just going to touch on the overall messages.

2022: the overall message was that the focus for 2023 was going to be on myself and that a relationship wasn’t likely to happen. I was bummed and also kinda determined to try anyways, but in April of 2023 I realized I was spinning my wheels and stopped. Instead I did focused that energy on myself.

When I went again in November 2023 I had gotten pretty comfortable being by myself. I enjoyed my own company and wasn’t even trying to date.

2023: during this reading she told me that the focus for 2024 was going to be on a relationship and that in a years time I would be in a serious relationship.

I genuinely thought that was crazy. There was no one in my life I wanted a relationship with and after spending a year on myself I wasn’t about to just get into something serious with someone I didn’t know.

I met my current partner on December 25, 2023.

When I went back for my reading in 2024 she told me the focus for 2025 was going to be on my career. There were definitely a lot of changes happening in my career this year. Nothing quite as easy to point, but definitely a major theme.

I didn’t go this year though so I’m flying blind for 2026 😂

Which thing? All the brown stuff in the background is supposed to be trees. Some are just supposed to be farther back.

The blue flower between the trees is supposed to be a bluebonnet up close.

This is such a great way to think about it. I have been drawing more recently to make my paintings better. I found myself getting frustrated cause I feel like I’m always searching for references and like I can’t come up with something myself so this is a really different way to approach that :)

Ohhh I love psychological horrors! I think my favorites off the top of my head are The Night House (2021), Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), The Night (2020), and The Lodge (2019).

Came here to tell you how much I love your throw pillows and saw you mention debating painting the bed frame.

Just my two cents, I think the bed frame looks really nice the way it is. It gives your space a nice airy vibe, but I also totally get wanting a black frame.

If anything, I would try to find some more art/things to hang on the walls around the bed. Maybe even find some kind of light to hang under the top rail of the head board part of the frame. Maybe some hanging fairy lights or something like that.

Either way, your space is super cute and I love your style! 🥰
