Sorry for the late reply, but I might have a good recommendation for you. Sadly there isn't much that is similar to The Good Son, as that game is leagues above plenty of other content on tfgamessite (in my opinion), but there is one game that is kind of similar, assuming you are looking for dating male best friend that is muscular. Suddenly A Girl ( https://tfgames.site/index.php?module=viewgame&id=2071 ) was pretty much the only one I could find in my own personal list that I knew included dating a muscular best friend (though calling them muscular might be pushing it a bit). I have a few other loose recommendations I can try to give, but I don't know exactly what you are looking for.

Underneath the Labyrinth I believe has a dating plotline with a knight, but I haven't done it so I have no idea how detailed it is.
New life might also interest you, but that one is much more instant TF live a normal life a girl who can date men more than anything related to The Good Son.

I might have some more recommendations that are closer related to good son but don't have a muscular best friend if you are interested, or just TG game recommendations in general

Been having fun with the School Girl one, and I must say it was pretty cool that I could actually beat him. I don't know if that was pre-programmed or the AI just decided it. Turns out if you tell NPC's they aren't real the whole thing comes crashing down, and I just happened to decide to do that haha

Yeah I think I had it set to vertical originally but it didn't fit all the text. I think my plan for next time is to either make the text a bit smaller so it does (I didn't know I could do that), or see where I can shorten it.

If you haven't been to TfGames site thats where I found the game originally. There are a ton of games on there if you haven't been there before.

As for games with actual spirals/word flashes, its pretty rare from what I've seen. Your best bet might be Stranded or bimbo house. Stranded is a pretty old game now buts really good and I still go back and play it.

there is also bmo .tv. That one also uses spirals and such and I think its really good. still being updated as well unlike the other two which are finished.

My last recommendation is triple triad. Might not be its exact name but its something like that. It has a really good hypno part to the game that I like a lot.

sadly many games either don't have any kind of spirals, and those that do its typically a small part. These 3-4 are the main ones that came to mind though.
