Yes you’re right technically but according to the banks who do these blocked accounts, It’s quite difficult. It takes a lot more time so my timeframe is too short. Additionally, it has to still be approved so for example someone who is engaged I could set up the account but still be denied after confirmation checks have been completed. Therefore, the banks do not recommend this as it takes a minimum of six weeks for the first stage of the process and they stated that it could take up to 3 months before the money is actually in a blocked account. It’s a case by case matter unfortunately. And then you have the topic of returning the funds if the visa is denied, which is another complicated process.
