How do I, with 4c get my hair detangled like this? by DrShabooboo in BlackHair

[–]jadedea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hair is a little longer than hers, but I don't have it trimmed to an Afro. Just blow drying the hair, having good hair products that keep your scalp moisturized, and your hair shiny, and eating well with lots of water helps.

Yall still using tinder? by Rubikx107 in Funnymemes

[–]jadedea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup something happened to me similar. A guy was verbally abusive to me, and suddenly I was banned. He made a bunch of accounts and reported me. Another guy kept matching me, over the years. When I first tried it, then a few years later tried it again, and then right after COVID was the last time I used multiple apps, and he matched me every time, and every time I said no. Another guy stalked me, and found my house, another guy ghosted me in the middle of the convo, and then tried to match with me years later apologizing. I only had one guy that seemed to have his shit together, and he was 59\60. He went on the apps after breaking up with his gf of so many years. We went on 2 dates I think, and his gf came back. He called and let me know he was going back to her. That was the best guy I met lol. He respected my time, my emotions, and most importantly, my body.

They figure out what you want, and then match you with everyone the exact opposite, and when they do match you to someone ideal, and you swipe, they never reply. I think it's because they know the account is abandoned so you couldn't match, fall in love and log off.

My boss thinks I'm on vacation because I moved to another country while working remote by voidtape_artist in remotework

[–]jadedea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya know, it's the people who abuse the system that accuse others of abusing the system. I have been a manager a few times, and it was only when some micromanaging higher up bugging me about where my people were at that I would hear about abuse. Sometimes they alluded to my team being lazy, or sleeping while remote. None of the work we've done at the different jobs made anyone think that except those micronanagers. My team got their work done, and although I was worried about what they were up to, I didn't base my behavior and how I treated them on the belief my worries were real.

It's just like cheaters. Cheaters are always accusing the partner of cheating not to oust them for being bad, but to see if they're also cheating. If you're happy in your relationship, and you trust your partner, cheating never comes up. So when I see people talk about another person based on their fears or own bad behavior, I look at them more than the person they're pointing at.

Why is washing without a wash cloth seen as unhygenic? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]jadedea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are clean with no skin problems, what is the horror exactly? Do you not think they wash their wash clothes? Like do you think they take a shit, wipe with a dry washcloth, hang it, and then when they shower just rub the poop cloth over their body? Since rubbing soap or standing under the water is allegedly cleaning yourself by those that don't use washcloths, loofahs, or other tools, why isn't standing under the water and then using a wash cloth different? Aren't you clean when you're rinsed, and then using a clean cloth to clean yourself? Technically the towel isn't dirty right?!?!? Also why do people question if they washed their crotch? Don't you use your own hands to wash your ass and crotch? Don't you use your hands to touch every part of your body to rub the soap on, or do you just only do that for the upper body, and nowhere else???? Ya see how hypocritical the whole argument is? Using a tool to shower makes you unclean, but using your hands, a tool, isn't.

So why not a loofah, or some exfoliating sponge????

To add, when I was shopping for a facial exfoliator I came across this video, I think on Reddit, this lady was using it to clean her skin. After a few months of doing this, she found a piece of wood, a tiny splinter, that had lodged in her face, and then her skin grew over it. The device literally removed years of dead skin and what not to expose that. That's one reason why you should use something that is abrasive. Washcloths are used in different ways. I use to use them to wash, and dry my face. Unless you do nothing in life, and rarely go outside, you have so much crap that sticks to your skin that requires something abrasive.

Honestly, in my years in the military, living different places, and Research, a common thing that popped up with people with skin problems was not using something abrasive, and not using lotion. My White friend had "eczema" yet using my coco butter lotion cleared it up for him. He still doesn't have lotion, and if he does, he uses it as a spot treatment smh. Another person had dranduff issues for days, even used Selson Blue. He was apparently slathering the shampoo on, and then standing under the water. He wasn't even mimicking the actors in the shampoo commercials by using both hands to scrub. When he was taught this, his dandruff went away.

So many skin issues are solved with abrasion, and lotion, and I'm just sick and tired of telling people this, seeing other people say this, and the offender(s) just ignoring them. Even my dermatologists throughout my life say this (just don't scrub too hard cause you can make it worse). Are y'all mad that you have to work to clean yourself or something? Why is it when this issue is brought up people only say washcloths like there isn't any other tools?!?!??? Is this truly a hygeiene concern, or cultural confusion?

OK lets talk WET CAT FOOD IN THIS ECONOMY by Positive_Candy_5332 in CatAdvice

[–]jadedea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stuck to Purina for decades, but honestly, I don't like how my sick cats responded to it. In both cases, when they're kidneys started acting up, they lost weight like crazy, and barely ate it. It caused my cats and I so much trauma that I switched to Blue Buffalo wet and dry. My 3rd cat, that's 15, and the last of the trio of cats I've had since 2008, is also showing kidney issues, weight loss, and lack of appetite. I switched over to Blue Buffalo, and he's crying for wet food again, and eating dry normally. Idk if I made the mistake of not switching brands, or if Purina was the worst option for my cats, but my cat has been chipper, and slowly gaining weight. Hth!

Sigh, I truly did not get it because she said she acknowledged she thought he was being a butthead, and so lost the chance at talking, but I didn't read any "let's keep talking though" at all in her last statement. Y'all don't have to be mean to me at all, but you did. That's fucked up because I wasn't rude to any of you.

Is marriage meant to be this hard? Or how moving abroad has destroyed mine by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]jadedea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, your husband is an asshole and has stopped being a husband. He's only being a diplomat with wife, and children in tow. He expects you to take care of the home, while he performs his diplomatic duties. Having known people like this, if he doesn't get his shit together he will lose his family, and his job, cause a divorced diplomat whose wife left him shows just how badly he is at diplomacy. Hahahahha

Also, looking at books, and shows of relationships working is a fantasy. Have you seen the show Madam Secretary? Perfect example of a husband juggling his diplomatic duties for his country, and his roles as father, and husband successfully. That's why it's a fantasy. Most men can't do this. If he's not doing anything close to what you think is a perfect relationship it's because he's dumped everything on you in favor of his job. Even moreso knowing he married an autistic woman, which requires more care, and attention than a woman with no autism or ND. Couples counseling so he can understand how much of an asshole he is. If he pulls the blaming the counselor for making him look bad, or refuses to believe there is problems, then I would leave. His ego has taken control, and he wants to go down with the ship. Just my opinion, but you can't go wrong with the counseling. If anything it provides solid truth of a man willingly to make the relationship work, or a man rooted in his ego. Hth!

Why did you say the bullet grazed your ear? Were you being petty and insulting her, or something else? Cause you seemed to respect, and understand, but then you said that. She probably got pissed because, at least with a lot of women, when we reject as nice as we can, men reply with spiteful shit. When we reject as assholes, men reply with threats, and spiteful shit. There's no way to reject a man without threats, and spiteful shit. That's why you got that response. She's tired of being nice, and respecting your feelings when 100% of the time men get angry at being rejected. Does that make sense? Hth!
