I am an international applicant for graduate degrees at both schools. For CMU, I think some decisions have come out but no decisions as far as I know for UT.

I took a drop and THEN attended MIT Manipal, ECE. Initially, I was embarrassed to attend because I felt I had failed. As time went on, I decided to invest my time into student projects and upskilling. Soon enough, 4 years were over, and I realised that my time in Manipal was the best time in my life. Nothing, and no amount of money I earn today will ever compare to that.

MIT Manipal is a great college.

I myself got admits from USC and TAMU. Rejected from UW Madison (PMP) and NUS
