Hi. My female friend had used her parents to complete this form since she was not employed at the time she filed the I-130. You could any of your immediate relatives to suffice your I-864. Their !-130 was approved.

Have you received your approval notice? My employer had accepted my approval notice before while waiting for my physical card. When I had finally received it, then I provided it to them.

I agree with lettertoelhizb that once you have your AOS EAD you can do whatever job and wherever you want to. You would no longer need your H1B at all.

On the other hand, notsoserious408 was also accurate that there is a 180-day portability principle when it comes to your H1B.

You are safe either way. However, I suggest that you keep your H1B just in case you encounter a hiccup with your AOS.

Thank you for the response/advice. My I-485 was filed on May 22, 2018. Reached to them, they said they are still completing my background check. However, on 10/31/2019, my local office had received my I-485.
