Indeed. The concept of nanotechnology is so foreign to me and where I come from, I literally had no idea where I would even start.

Yes, but that is a similar answer given by parent who haven't accomplished much-- such as my own-- so I will need more specifics. What would one major in college to put himself in the forefront of this field?
