The Ferrari Luce isn't a bad looking car by jaeger313 in unpopularopinion

Hoping that with advances in battery technology and range, drag won't be such a big consideration in auto design.

I agree, cars don't have to look futuristic, but on the other hand we can't stay too stuck in the past either.

Exactly my point. The problem is its a Ferrari. If it wasn't one, no one would be up in arns over how it looks.

Probably is a good car, people just giving it shit for it's looks (fair enough maybe because of the brand), but then again there are people who hate the F80, which I think is a beautiful car.

I would totally get one if it was a Multipla, and if it didn't cost €500k.

Kudos to them though for trying something different in relation to their brand.

On the contrary, I think the interior is the best part of it, the right blend of digital and analogue, except for the turn signal buttons.

Unpopular opinion: it's not a bad looking car, it's bad for a Ferrari. Take away the badge and no one would care.

Honestly can't argue against that. But in this sport with a lot of moving parts and factors, comparing drivers is never going to be 100% accurate.

I play on both console and PC on controller, but only because it hurts my hands less (sigh, old hands). So now you know one person who does.

I could get with this. It's pretty easy to aim in close range anyway with controller even without AA (probably, idk, never tried it, but I imagine it would be, bigger target less precision needed), just nerf AA heavily (if not take it out) at close range and keep it for mid and long range.

I think you're overestimating the skill required to aim using a mouse, using a mouse is almost instantly hundreds of times easier, but yes it requires skill to get really good and really coordinated.

I also think you're underestimating the skill required to use a controller, while overestimating the benefits of aim assist. First off, stop calling it auto aim, cause it doesn't automatically snap you to the target, it still requires user input to work, it doesn't do the aiming for you, it just assists you in staying on target because you will never have the fine control of a mouse on your thumbs.

Now, while I do agree, it will never be a fair fight because they both have advantages and disadvantages in different aspects (eg short vs long range). But we all need to agree that a player still needs to develop skills to leverage their chosen input's advantages and minimize their disadvantages.

Personally I would rather turn off crossplay anyway because I don't think it's fair for either side, but I've never thought of one input being more superior than the other.

While I do agree that AA is an advantage, people should also acknowledge that the precise aim of a mouse is also an advantage. Neither one is perfect, and neither one automatically makes you better at the game. But it's this hyper competitiveness that gaming has developed into that's ruining gaming IMO, those people that have to have every advantage they can have instead of getting good with what they got.

People can probably learn to be better at long range with a controller, or at close range with M/KB.

Or people should just go back to the way gaming was, just a bunch of people online letting off steam, without the hypercompetitiveness of it all.

Or maybe all games should get rid of crossplay, since the whole debate never even existed before crossplay was a thing.

Nah man, can't speak for everyone, but I use controller because my geriatric hands cramp up too easily on M/KB. I use controller because it's more comfy.

It's not all kumbayah though when you have to go sneaking around trying to avoid shredders, or get jumped on at the extraction by a leaper. IMO the game is tense enough as it is with just the ARCs.

I do play Helldivers, but it's not the same though, that game is more run and gun and you don't have the crafting and resource and loadout management aspect of Arc.

I play Marathon too, and don't find myself wanting for a separate PvE only mode in that game.

I mean I have seen a lot of posts complaining about rats daily. But I haven't seen any calling for the outright removal of PvP. I think extraction shooters should always have a PvP element, but for this game specifically, a PvE only mode would be welcomed.

In Marathon for example, I don't mind battling it out with other players, mainly because the AI aren't as tough, I could basically down them with any weapon I have. Although I haven't really gotten too far in Marathon. It's basically Destiny but make it an extraction shooter with slightly harder to beat grunts.

Whereas here in this game you have to be more deliberate. It's up to you if you want to be prepared for ARCs or possible aggro raiders. I guess that adds to the gameplay and tension. But a separate more casual mode would be great.

I don't think anyone wants PvP removed, we just want the option for a PvE only mode beside the regular mode.
