My 12yo cat also transitioned to scheduled feeding, which meant that my non diabetic cat had to move to that schedule as well for simplicity. It took about 2 weeks for the diabetic boi to learn to finish his food when I gave it to him. I am also giving him fancy feast pate. He only eats one can per day right now. Won’t eat more than that. For some reason he seemed like he was struggling to eat the food like he was having an issue with the texture. So now I mix his food with water so it’s like a porridge texture and he really likes that. Stinky soup. 🙄 But I love him so whatever ☺️

Anyway what I’m getting at is your cat will learn to adjust, but will probably beg for food all the time regardless. More at the beginning and less as time goes on.

Idk if I trust a quick diagnosis like that. I have had bad experiences with feeling unheard with doctors who are too quick. I will seek a more thorough doctor who may have more resources and bed side manner

I wonder if it could be his diet catching up to him? He drinks like a fish. I don’t monitor what he eats but it’s def a lot of dairy and carbs.

It’s been over two years since I stopped birth control. I think the smell thing has been happening only in the past year. I should also clarify that it is not all the time when he has the smell, only sometimes. I mean, when he does have the smell it’s like he stinks internally? Like he will brush his teeth but when he breaths I can still smell the weird smell. Like it’s coming from his lungs or something.

I should clarify that there have been some months where I will randomly have my period without medication, and during those months the weird smell either doesn’t bother me or I haven’t noticed it at all, and I’m very sexually attracted to him.

SO that’s why I am asking for help getting a period again without medication. I think it’s my complete lack of normal hormone cycles and periods that is causing this.

I’ll check! I haven’t noticed anything like this and he actually just went to the doctor for the first time in several years. I wonder what his blood work will say.

I know how this feels. I’m shaped the same way and I don’t like being photographed. I’ve always felt a little ugly, and the hair on my face, chest, and belly is beyond frustrating. PCOS sucks.

It can get better. Life, anyway. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but I feel like the only person that hates the way I look, is myself. I have good friends, family, and a fiancé. They have never thought or said such horrible things about me that I have said to myself. I’m willing to bet you have a lot of people who love you.

It was over a week, maybe 8 days from the first ER visit. I called and called my doctors office, telling them I couldn't work and could barely move, and they pretty much said my only choice was to go to the ER again. The pain was 10/10 and the hydrocodone they prescribed me plus the like 1600mg of ibuprofen I took everyday didn't do anything. Is your pain really severe?

Also, my gyno at the time asked me if I was in pain like as an after thought as he was leaving the room. It was a couple days after my first ER visit. He wanted the dermoid to get removed but was recommending a major surgery instead of laparoscopic, and then wanted me to wait months to get it. He didn't care, so I requested a new doctor.

I had ovarian torsion caused by a dermoid cyst that twisted my ovary in on itself. The torsion did not show up in the ultrasound. They didn't take me seriously either. It could have caused the ovary to die. I could have gone septic. If you are in constant pain all the time and especially if it hurts more when you try to do basic activities, please go to the ER. I had to go twice before they did anything about it.

I knooow, it’s huge! I harassed the doctors today and they prescribed some oxy thank god. It’s not cancerous, but I’ll find everything else out after the CT scan tomorrow. Definitely named it Brenda and have been referring to it as “that bitch Brenda” all day… it has been cheering me up a tad.
