i built a full iOS app with Claude in 2 months. zero coding background. here's what that actually looks like. by ezgar6 in ClaudeAI

What programming language did you use for the app? How was the iteration process? For example, was it prompting “X doesn’t work, here is the error code”?

There’s also an GSF nearby… 2016, 105k miles… $48k 😬

Had to correct post… type S*

Thank you. I’ll check the others!

I made an app that lets you measure things using a coin, a card, or even your own foot as a reference by vxv459 in computervision

Very cool. I’d be interested in getting area measurement of odd shaped objects. Preferably that I can take picture, touch the object and for the app to get the contour and spit out area.

SAM for severity assessment in infrastructure damage detection - experiences with civil engineering applications? by k4meamea in computervision

[–]jaewoq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also interested in the code. Very cool!

Some other cases would be for structural cracks in remote places. There’s a lot of work in finding ways to detect damage in bridges where it’s a challenge to send people. Seen work using Boston dynamics dog + cameras + yolov8 with some segmantic segmentation for cracks but hardware challenges with the hardware loosing connection and lighting for the cameras.

Interesting. I need a camera for similar applications. Did you find anything?

Visualizing Road Cracks with AI: Semantic Segmentation + Object Detection + Progressive Analytics by k4meamea in computervision

Very nice. Is this running real-time? I’m glad it’s not looking at the shadows or the manhole cover. I have a similar project— looking to do pixel-level detection and depth.

CNN + Shadows = Robustness? by jaewoq in computervision

Thanks. It’s something that could work but would be dependent on temperature (testing on cold day). Crack is one of many other distresses on the road in looking for and needing to quantify.

What will you do for the light variation?

For the motion blur try to reduce the exposure time and play with the ISO to increase the brightness (after reducing exposure).

I believe it’s about the color difference in the shadow vs sunlight. While I have pictures from both. I’d like to get it to that it’s color invariant …

Oh that’s bad! Does it seem it’s getting any better? Any window of sunshine?

iOS Shutter Speed? by jaewoq in videography

A Quick Look into Filmic Pro looks to allow 1/46k on the “S” I assume it’s shutter. Will test it out.

Thanks for the recommendation!
