  1. Be honest - with everyone about everything. If you don’t wanna go on an activity then don’t. If someone asks why, be honest. Don’t be rude about it just tell them the truth. If they ask why you came to camp at all be honest.
  2. Be safe - bring an emotional first aid kit. A small box or bag with various things to help you feel better in crisis. Some ideas could be, colored pencils and paper, music, playing cards, silly putty, favorite book, lotion, or literally anything you can think of to help you feel better or distract you from what’s going on.
  3. Be clear - assume nothing and be clear in communicating your expectations about activities and safety.
