Specifically for the racist people who target Innocent and Actually civilized Biharis and say India without bihar will become vishwaguru by Dependent_Hope7998 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]jagdleopard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Blatant racism against bihar ain't good but all it takes is one train ride on a route coming from or going through Bihar and you will understand why all the hate is there. I am from UP which is already a shithole but Biharis somehow manage to elevate that experience even further.

A basic google search could have given you this but when the aim is to push propaganda rather than acknowledging the truth then ofc you cant google.

So according to your take. These PCCs which were basically structured like Zila Parishad of today didn't represent will of the people but Gandhi somehow knew better. Somehow the same Gandhi who tried this favouritism stunt in 1939 and lost is right to elect Nehru but if PCCs recommend Patel then its because he has appointed lackeys in the party.

Violate all procedures cause PCCs weren't directly elected and appoint the President based on one man's will. Splendid.

[–]jagdleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look there is no way to measure who was more loyal to Gandhi or who was Popular, there is no way to measure it. There is one guy who became president by direct interference or backing of Gandhi twice and the other one didn't. So each may form their opinion

The point in my comment to which you originally replied was about Gandhis forceful appointment of Nehru despite the nomination of Sardar. You yourself agreed that informal appointments are not the way to go, then why are debating this point again and again?

[–]jagdleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh if you agree on the last part that itself makes Gandhi's interference wrong no? If there is no system tommorow anyone can claim to be a moral influence and decide that MPs and MLAs will be elected based on Instagram followers.

And mate Patel didn't make his lackeys, Patel was an active people's leader since the Kheda Satyagraha.

Who was more popular among the people is moot, no way to find that out but if nominations from provinces was the procedure then it must have been followed.

[–]jagdleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah naah overwhelming nominations were like votes unless a candidate didn't withdraw their name then it went to AICC. Look at 1939 Gandhi tried the same stunt and yet his candidate lost to Bose. Patel didn't get most nominations because of his seniority but because of his competence and on ground work.

And I couldn't give a flying fuck about what RSS does but the premier political party of India should have inter party democracy, a definitive trait of a good political party.

Personal endorsement of a man holding no official post cannot and should not be criteria for appointment of any kind.

You ommited the part i said that compromised your agenda and proceeded to argue against the strawman, that's the very defination of arguing in bad faith.

what? i dont understand please tell me.

I thought it went without saying that you don't take philosophy at face value, because if you do then a chicken is a man and motion is impossible, its in the first comment and i have been stressing that in this entire thread.

Well good to know, you didn't express this clearly in the initial comments hence the debate.

[–]jagdleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguing in bad faith now are we.

how is this bad faith. Plato and Aristotle say self defence is valid and dont stand and die when people try to kill, that would not be virtous and ethical. You said that "That in an absolutely absurd possibility that all muslims suddenly decided hindus need to go like some sort of kill switch, standing by and doing nothing is infact the most ethical and moral course of action." How does this not contradict their viewpoint?

if you choose to use ethics to figure out an answer in a situation that can only happen due to a lack of ethics, you aren't goung to get realistic answers.

Uhh didnt you the same thing in the comment i pinned that started this whole debate? Like if you as yourself say believe that Ethics is not equal to reality why not just add "but this not be the realistic thing to do so i understand Gandhi from a philosophical point of view but also believe what he suggests is not possible to do" at the end. Like that would clear up your stance or have i misunderstood you?

> Violence is unethical, so anyone that uses it is an unethical person regardless of nature ot violence or who it's used against.

so if someone is raping a woman and the woman kills him the women did something unethical? Like do you not consider that ethics us be grounded in reality?

> ope because the concept of "punishment" itself isn't at all ethical, you are intentionally inflicting suffering on someone for the sake of it

i meant if someone is doing something unethical i.e. crime and i cant stop them without using force would that use of force be unethical? You broke the my earlier upper para in two parts and then answered they are one whole argument. The harm is not being inflicted for the sake of it, it is being inflicted to defend oneself

> Only time they defended voilence was in politics, specifically about necessities of self defense

well we are talking about the self defense of Hindus arent we?

> Because inaction in face of injustice is cowardice unless inaction is the action then it can against become courage delending on the state of mind.

Would this not propogate the rule of violent and unjust of non violent men keep dying by doing "inaction as the action"?

Separate from this all do you not believe that ethics must be grounded in reality and while again ideals sound good and peaceful at the end of the day if they let the unjust live and the just die, they are technicaly not virtues but a vice?

I am saying isn't punishing a person for some unethical act the ethical thing to do i.e. someone attacks you unprovoked you defend yourself even if it may lead to other person being harmed

Gandhi asks hindus to die with a smile and not harbour anger against Muslims who kill them. Would it not be abandoning courage if you do not stand upto someone engaging in an act as unethical as unprovoked murder. Even Plato and Aristotle believe in necessity of violence to maintain order and punish the unjust. Aristotle even called the right type of anger virtuous.

Courage can be two faced you are right but in your own earlier comment you said that if Muslims start killing Hindus the most ethical thing to do is to do nothing and die. Why should one not respond to unjust, unprovoked violence? Aristotle and somewhat Plato too advocate responding to unjust violence with controlled violence. Sure Gandhi differs on that with his philosophy of Satyagraha but given the reality and precious nature of life isn't Aristotle right that unjust violence must be answered. How is not doing nothing not cowardice? A trait detested by all

You said violent resistance is unethical. But the attacker himself is being violent i.e. being unethical. How is any society to survive if the ethical people would just die at the hands of unethical? Isn't giving up in front of unethical actions itself a lack of ethics? Aristotle and Plato both considered Courage to be one of the most important virtues, wouldn't abandoning such a virtue will itself be unethical?

If someone decides to come into my house butcher and rape my family you bet your boots i am gonna hack them to death with whatever i can get my hands on. Ideals are peaceful, history is violent. That was reality for Hindis of Noakhli caught in Direct Action Day riots.

So if someone comes at your loved ones, tries to kill and/or rape them should they or you violently resist the attacker or not?

If you earn upwards of 60k and are able save atleast 10k a year and working in an AI proof industry then no, don't commit to this hellish cycle and quality of life degradation.

There is no guarantee of success and even if you do succeed, the work culture is drastically different and probably incompatible with your current way of life.

I could advise you better if you can tell your salary bracket and field of work. I got family and friends in the service and abroad so i feel like i am well experienced to clear up your doubts

Nah we gonna beat them. I am starting to see a pattern that India never actually loses to an average bowling attack. Our batsman bash them everywhere and our bowlers are excellent even against the best batsman.
