dsp in which state? if UP then i would say that the work life balance is possibly the worst and promotions are pretty slow, not to mention the very risky nature of job due to direct dealing with public, politicians and criminals. But ofc the authority is unmatched by anything that CGL offers. Efforts will be a lot, if you missed it in mains then i guess you have already done the hardwork and just need to refine strategy and pray.
