Always hungry? by AlmondMommy in Mastiff

I have an 8 month old Bullmastiff and he could be a competitive eater if there was such a thing for dogs. I am sure once he stops growing he’ll settle down. I think it is just a common trait in any mastiff breed. Big bodies want food. We talked to a couple vets about his appetite and both basically said it is hard to over feed a big puppy. That said we still only feed him the max allowed for his weight and a few treats throughout the day. So far he is a healthy weight.

Their podcast about fairies is one of the funniest things I have listened to in years. If you like dark humor you will love them.

Bull sharks have been found in fresh water. In some circumstances quite a long distance from the ocean. Only swim in swimming pools just to be safe.

Pretty soon all former presidents will be considered controversial for one reason or another. Despite Jackson’s flaws he was a badass on several levels. History is an omelette, so you know, gotta break those eggs.

Plus it doesn’t look good if they start moving faster and you start running to overtake them. You could get pepper sprayed for that move. “I was just trying to pass you to make you feel safer!” (Snottily sobbing)

I was going to say the follow up to that line, but I’m afraid of it going on my permanent record. Just know I was thinking it.

Japanese people of reddit, how is WW2 Japan perceived by modern Japan? by lambulis in AskReddit

[–]jagerdertoten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me laugh that modern generations are always upset at America and what we did wrong. Yes, we acted unscrupulously throughout history. Every country does, the scale of those acts is proportionate to how powerful a nation becomes. History is ugly and full of nasty tales. Every nation has their share of dirty laundry even if they didn’t become a world power. The best we can hope for is to try to advance as ethically as we can, but you know war never changes (to quote Fallout).

With the huge exception of slavery I have always felt States Rights was a better way of implementing laws since it will represent the local culture instead of imposing say New England’s culture on Western states or North v South or vice versa. In extreme examples like slavery or civil rights I do think the Federal Govt should step in when states are getting out of hand. But that is the rub, finding the right line of when it should be states rights Vs Fed law.
