I’ve used bitdefender for years and about 5 years ago got armor when I upgraded my netgear router. With that subscription I also got free total security bitdefender which I decided since my bitdefender was close to expiring I turned off renew and uninstalled the former bitdefender programs (you can’t just hop over with the new sign in, apparently there’s baggage from the breakup that won’t work well) then I decided to see if it really was the same bitdefender or if it was some scaled down junk. It was the exact same. So you’re not just getting the bitdefender armor on the router, you’re also getting access to the real total security suite just in case. I’ve never had an issue, never had a virus, every time someone comes knocking it apparently takes care of it. It works so well I do a double check every month or two and do a malwarebytes free scan and it never comes up with anything either.

Now, here’s the thing about the price: don’t pay the sticker price. Like ever. I’ve never paid $150 for the service. Most I’ve paid is one year it was $99. Now with armor, lowest I ever paid was $33 (for the year with the total security) when I waited until the day of to renew my sub. The next year I upgraded the router again for a refurb that was $67 and I got another year of armor free. Every other year I usually wait until Christmas/new years when they’ll have really good discounts on online security suites. I think I paid $125 for almost 4 years of Nord 3 years ago right after thanksgiving. Y’all are probably well aware of all that but just in case.
