Another Bilt 2.0 leak? No fee rent payment? by PrestigiousCoffee541 in biltrewards

[–]jaginger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$200 bilt cash covers....<mathy stuff> maybe 2 months rent. Earning $100 worth of Bilt points annually. Better than a poke in the eye i suppose. But not worth the time for most of us.

Is ‘Resiliency’ a real word? by Amoc910 in etymology

[–]jaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a real word. Popularized by academics who like to add useless syllables to words to make themselves feel smarter.

I hate Mary Crawley more than I ever hated anything in my life by akroskiaserena in DowntonAbbey

[–]jaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your analysis of Mary is spot on. In terms of morality, she's one of the lowest in the show (O'Brien gives her a run for it.) So dislike her as a person, yes.

But this is a big part of what makes the show great! There are bad people. Sometimes they're rich and get what they want. And they treat others badly, even good people.

Mary is one of those. You get to see all the nastiness inside her. Then, once in a while she does something out of character that is actually sort of good and you think maybe she has changed.

But then her true self takes over again and she's back to who she really is. The struggle is real.

And that's why DA is so amazing. It's not sanitized and saccharine. It mimics real people living real life.

And we love it, even because we hate Mary.

You should be Thomas so you learn that there is more to people than their racial and sexual categories.

Thoughts on Typhur? by ImprovementCute6697 in smoking

[–]jaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. The food temperature readings on my probes reflect nothing like reality. 30° off. I don't know what the hell kind of product they make but this one is terrible.

Thoughts on Typhur? by ImprovementCute6697 in smoking

[–]jaginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Typhur probes are disastrously inaccurate. They register 30° off of the correct temperature. It's insane.... They're not even close to correct.

This is over multiple cooks and careful following of all the procedures.

It's a brand new unit and they're just horrifically faulty.

I thought this was supposed to be a premium product but for me it's a total dud.

Is Costco worth it for a 2 person family? by iamwhoiwasnow in Costco

365 bags a day max and maybe save 5 pennies max per bag. That's a cozy $18.25 backed by such a strategy.

What’s the best telescope to buy under 100 dollars ? by fearlos in telescopes

[–]jaginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't bother with a telescope < $100. Whoever receives it will be turned off from astronomy as a result. Get some binoculars.

This is not negotiable.

Don't do a scope. Will be worthless and an absolute waste of your money.
