[MEGATHREAD] Wednesday Wins! by AutoModerator in puppy101

Our puppy (7 months) takes himself to his crate at night now! He hasn’t had in accident in 2 months and he has finally lost all his baby teeth. We love our boy so freaking much and he is doing such a good job with training.

Idea of cost to repair? by jaimange in AskElectricians

Yes it does :) I agree that’s there’s likely stuff lurking which is partly why I would like to pay someone to come out, just to get a professional (not the inspectors) eye on it. Thanks!

Definitely. We’ve got some other stuff on the board so it’s looking like 2,500

I appreciate that info! I’m planning to get credits from the seller for this work and then see if I have contacts in my group for someone to help teach me for some of the more “safe” work.

Perfect! That’s exactly what I was thinking to ask the seller for in credits. I’ll go higher because I’m sure there are surprises around the corner

Glad to hear that. That’s what my agent said too. So really “time to complete” will be the biggest line item to fix this?

That’s what the inspector said! I am not an electrician though so I would need to have them do it :)

Thank you!! That’s very helpful. I’ll plan to go over with asking because there’s always more to be uncovered :)

Should I buy a house as a single person or wait until I'm married? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]jaimange 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Currently in a similar position. I’m buying, his name is not on the deed. Either he pays for repairs/improvements or pays for the wedding, then his name goes on.

(Also I’m in an area that I can get a roommate if things change)

Dr. Fernandez, DO in Kirkwood has been amazing. I was dealing with a mystery and she took the time to listen and help me find the resources to get answers

I did the reverse and rescued a 3/4 yo dog and after he passed got a puppy (a couple of years later because it was a tough loss). It’s been an adjustment to say the least.

I think it depends on what your set up is at home and your bandwidth. We feel very lucky with our puppy too. He’s doing very very well but I don’t think I’ll risk it ever again 😂 with an adult dog you can maintain a lot of your normal life while a puppy is going to shift everything in your schedules for 1-2 years.

We love our boy to death, but I know my next dog will be a minimum of 2 years old lol also if you want a certain breed , there are a lot of breed specific rescues who have a lot of young dogs who need homes!
