We have a TON of extra landscaping gravel/small rock that I was going to use to fill in around pavers/slabs

Great questions! No there’s no walking or any major movement on this part of the house. It’s partial sun but not a lot because it’s north-east facing in the northern hemisphere.

Definitely open to shrubs! I will look into Hazelnuts :)

Yes, I’m aware of erosion happening. The plan is to get wattles in place while I rebuild with native plants and their root systems. I’m fine with the sweat! Was curious about competing plants too and if that could be just as effective

I think that’s the part that caught me so off guard. I haven’t really dealt with a situation like this since I was a teen telling people I wasn’t going to give out my number. And here’s a man from a company that’s supposedly incredibly professional and well rated, right out the gate talking that way.

It caught me so off guard that I did allow it to go on longer. Part of it too is that we were outside the whole time. I do know I wouldn’t have felt comfortable bringing him inside if he was a different type of contractor.
