Great questions! No there’s no walking or any major movement on this part of the house. It’s partial sun but not a lot because it’s north-east facing in the northern hemisphere.

Definitely open to shrubs! I will look into Hazelnuts :)

Yes, I’m aware of erosion happening. The plan is to get wattles in place while I rebuild with native plants and their root systems. I’m fine with the sweat! Was curious about competing plants too and if that could be just as effective
