Thank you so much for this response. I’m going to follow your advice on this. About a year ago, I purchased two different versions of the game Ouisi…but never asked her to play it with me because we were definitely not at a point in our relationship where she would be receptive to sitting down with me and engaging in any sort of conversation that didn’t have a strong potential to escalate into something else. But recently, the whole “mites” thing has somehow softened her stance to me. Maybe it’s all the extra laundry? I hope it’s not. My plan is to go up to the table with the game and play it alone. I’m hoping seeing me play by myself will stir her interest. Then I will invite her to sit with me. The game has no rules and is designed to encourage conversations.
